I sure hope their hangover is not too bad after triple OT loss

Akron + 10'
was hoping for 10 so I'll accept the hook. Zips off of a bye and will be sky high for ESPN on Friday night. Marshall offense has trouble covering big numbers especially on the road.

Toledo, hard to against Rockets and points in this tilt.

Akron alot of points for a team that has been playing quite well for the past month.

Mich ST, the Buskeyes offense was far from impressive against PSU and MSU may be the most dangerous team in the Big 10 right now.

NW, I cant see PSU spotting anyone more than 3 points with the worst offense in the country.

Army, like the points at home here

Cuse, two teams playing good ball but can Pitt stop Cuse's groundgame?

Iowa St, possibly a money line play.

Baylor-Texas Tech, over, over, over these teams may hit 100 points.

Vandy, its getting to the point that the Gators have nothing to play for

BYU, will SD State be able to move the ball at al lon the road?

Rice, check their health status

Tex AM, I see this game being a 7 point win at max

UVA,

Oreg, alot of points ofr a team that has seemed to turn the corner

UCLA, looked strong against Stanford

Stanford, something is wrong with ASU their not the same team they were a month ago.

South Carolina, look for the defense to step up this week for holtz afte the VOl debacle.

Rint,

responding to your earlier post, Mizzou slipped through the system as I usally cancel out a system play with a rushing dog play. Was in a rush and just missed that one.

i don`t care if it was 10 overtimes, mich st is on the come...ohio st is pedestrian at best...the defense is nowhere near past editions....this line would be wrong if the game was AT ohio st.....

Surprised by the NW line as well, but Michigan State's QB situation would be the concern here. If Stanton isn't playing, the OSU line seems fair and I would lean to the Buckeyes.

i watched the ohio st/penn st game...and penn st`s offense actually moved the ball well vs the buckeyes....ohio st `s offense only scored once and was pretty much ineffective... ...it was a fortunate cover .....

i don`t see ohio st going on the road and beating any good big ten team.....

and from what i`ve seen, mich st gets better by the week....

a bad spot,granted....if stanton`s healthy,it`s an unbelievable line......their are no locks....ask jake plummer...lol

ar1.......i was looking at nevada myself....

To he who hath galloped the globe so many times it maketh his brain confused and he now thinketh MEMPHIS standeth a chance versus the Ville Of Louie. NOT SO! Oh, Globe Galloper! You cannot say, "Phooey on Louie".

MISLEADING FINALS/BOX SCORES

With 5:44 left in the game, Georgia Tech led VT 20-12. They gave up an 80 yd TD pass and then a 49 yd TD pass put VT ahead with 3:10 left. GT was int’d at the VT 29 and later was at the VT 47 with 1:12 left but was int’d & ret’d 64 yds for a touchdown. The DB actually fumbled the ball at the 4 into the EZ for what should have been a TB but it was ruled a TD. VT won by 14 but was fortunate to win SU as they scored twenty-five 4Q points...

It was a misleading box score that Rutgers was only outgained 432-431 and had a 26‑18 FD edge vs. W Virginia. WV led 35-17 with 8:52 left and at that point had a 426-280 yd edge. RU went 71 yds in 12 plays for a TD and after a WV punt went 80 yds in 11 plays for a TD with 1:22 left...

Another misleading box score was the Connecticut/Syracuse game. SU did benefit from a huge 5-0 TO deficit but Conn piled up a 566-416 yd edge. However, SU did lead the game after a TD with 7:39 left, 42-23 and at this point in the game Conn only had a 446-412 yd edge. Conn went on 50 & 70 yd drives and got a garbage TD with :52 left for the 42-30 final...

Missouri had a 19-8 FD edge vs. Nebraska but somehow lost by 21 points. Missouri missed a 42 yd FG, had a punt blk’d setting up a NU 4 yd drive for a 41 yd FG and then had a punt blk’d and ret’d 25 yds for a TD. MU missed a 45 yd FG in the 3Q and then their P fmbl’d the snap and NU rec’d at the 15 setting up a TD, 17-3. MU was SOD at the NU 28, int’d at the NU 41, SOD after a 1st & goal at the 9 and then with 2:56 left NU RB Ross got an 86 yd TD run. Prior to that run, MU had a 312-149 yd edge...

At the end of the 1Q Ohio St had 12 yds offense but led 14-0 thanks to a 67 yd PR for a TD and 24 yd int return for a TD. In fact, at the half, Penn St had 13-4 FD and 143-54 yd edges but trailed 21-7. PSU was without starting QB Mills and Robinson, playing in swirling winds, hit just 7 of 21 passes for 69 yds...

USC/Washington St was a misleading final for 2 reasons. The Trojans dominated but most of the pts in this game were set up on a short field. In the 1H WSU opened with an onside kick which went OOB and USC drove 37 yds for a TD and after USC rec’d a short KO, they drove 22 yds for a TD and led 14-0 just 2:58 into the game. They also added a 58 yd PR for a TD. It was 42-0 when backup QB Cassel fmbl’d setting up a WSU 19 yd drive for a TD and then threw an int which was ret’d 28 yds for a TD, 42-12. WSU fumbled at the USC 38 and was int’d in the EZ on 2 chances for the backdoor cover...

Idaho had a 342‑328 yd edge vs. Troy but suffered 7 TO’s including a 79 yd fmbl return for a TD, a 24 yd int return for a TD and even allowed a 60 yd PR for a TD. Troy QB McDowell, making just his 2nd start, hit 3 of 12 passes for 48 yds but Idaho lost by 40 pts on the scoreboard...Colorado St had a 22-14 FD edge vs. New Mexico but 3 costly TO’s did them in.

BACKDOOR AND FRONTDOOR COVERS

Jon Beutjer transferred from Iowa to Illinois and did not start last week’s game between the two. Illini did take its opening poss for a TD but Iowa rec’d a fmbl and blk’d a punt setting up points and took a 23-7 lead heading into the 4Q. Beutjer came off the bench and led Illinois to the Iowa 9 but was int’d in the EZ with 6:08 left. They got the ball back with 3:18 left and he led them 65 yds in 17 plays converting on 4th & 10 and a TD on 4th & 3 with :49 left gave Illinois the backdoor cover...

Oregon only had a 282-256 yd edge vs. Washington and with 4:52 left in the game, the Ducks punted leading only 17-6 and the cover appeared out of reach. They got a 10 yd int return for a TD with 4:12 left and then Washington went for it on 4th & 12 at their own 40 and were stopped. UO could have possibly run out the clock after getting 1 FD but on FD Whitehead ripped off a 30 yd TD run with 2:36 left and UO got the frontdoor cover.
