YTD 59-34 (6-0 last 3 nights)

Hurme will be in nets tonight for Ott.
After Hnlicka & Rhodes let in 4 & 3 goals a piece tonight, it would not surprise me if it happened again tonight.
Ott. was sitting in ATL waiting to play ATL while they were in Philly tonight.
I can see Ott. scoring 6 goals themselves, so the total of 6 does not scare me at all.
Recent scores over the last 2 years between these two clubs.
This year each team has won 6-3.
Last year Ott. won 3-2 & 8-1.
Last year ATL won 5-2 & tied 6-6.
Definitely playing the over in this one, hell the total could go to 6.5 for the rest of the year on all Thrashers games.
As well, I will probably play the Sens, I finally hit a Sens game right the other night when they beat Leafs. Going into that game I had missed on Ott. plays a hell of alot.

Other quick looks include:
Wash. over Columbus - Blue Jackets blow on the road.
NYR over L.A. - Allison and the boys are looking ahead to their tilt on Thursday night against the Bruins, no doubt Allison wants this one bad.
Cal./NJ over 5 - back to back roadies for the Flames, enough said.
Van./Det. over 5.5 - ditto

Looking forward to the games tonight!

Horns,

What up? Nice night last night. Great work.

I was looking at the Kings schedule for this week also. Tomorrow's game here in Boston will be the Kings 3rd in 4 nights. Do they take tonight off and "rest up" for tomorrow? Originally, I was thinking that the Bruins would be the team to take tomorrow but after seeing your post, I'm rethinking.

I appreciate your opinion.

Caps info if you are considering them

Caps info if you are considering them

Sort of parphrasing a Washington Post article and added some of my own comments too....

They are probably starting Billington again in goal tonight due to an minor ankle problem for Kolzig. With the way Kolzig has been going that might be a good thing. They are also starting 3 AHL callups. Younger, bigger, faster guys. A forward and 2 defenseman. Reekie, Zettler and Whitfield will all be healthy scratches, probably (and hopefully) for a while. Could be a good move, could be bad. Either way, 2 of these guys will be making their NHL debuts tonight. The other guy Forbes has some experience with a couple of teams. He is the forward, so 2 rookie defenseman tonight for them. This could be exactly what the team needs to get them going, but it is still 3 new guys in the lineup so who knows. As you know I rarely bet on my team so there won't be any of my money on them this evening, especially at this price.

SJ,

Do you mean Colin Forbes as the forward? If so this kid can bang and play a rugged style. He played with the Flyers for 2 years and a year in Tampa. He played here in Ott. for 2 years as well and last year with the Rangers. Forbes will bring alot of energy to the third or fourth line tonight. As for the goaltending, Billington doesn't scare me, he is a solid back up and great veteran. Heck he even played in Ott. for 2 years when the Sens blew and he was one of the few bright spots. Caps D is hurting so much that maybe the over is the play. Problem is Columbus can't score and are awful on the road. Thanks for the info.

GL tonight!

Adding to past scores from ATL/OTT
In 1999-00 Ott. won all four meetings - 6-4,6-3,3-2,6-1
Sure it was 2 and a half years ago when the Thrashers were an expansion team but in all they have scored 82 goals in 10 career meetings for an average of 8.2 goals combined per game.

The Forbes you mention is the same one and that is exactly what they need and are looking for. I desperately hope it helps them. Billington has been doing well, and compared to Kolzig at the moment is an improvement. In years past Billington has often suffered from playing behind a tired unit on the 2nd game of a back to back. They limited FLA to less than 20 shots on Billington the other night, but could get only 1 of I think 39 shots past Luongo. I sort of wish I was going tonight to see these new guys play. Good luck to you as well.

Ottawa-Atlanta total

At my book the price on the over 5.5 has gone up from -170 to

-145 very strange

why is that do you think?

rebel,

Not a clue why it has gone from -170 to -145. There is nothing that can tell me the Sens won't score another 6 or 7 on them tonight. At worst this should be a 5-2 game. Ott. players have made mention in the papers today that they have not forgot the last game against Atl. when they were tied 3-3 and ATL scored 3 goals in 2 minutes. Definitely play OTT & the over. If you can get it at 5.5 all the better. Most places seem to have it at 6 for the total.

GL tonight!

So far 3-1 tonight, Ott. blew it in OT. Sens outshot ATL 33-18 in regulation. In OT Alfreddson had Rhodes on his back and totally out and shot it top corner and Rhodes threw his glove up and made the most unbelievable save. I can't believe I am saying this but Rhodes won this game for ATL. I can't believe Ott lost to the worst team in the league.

Thanks.

Detroit woke up too late.

I wish Rhodes was in last night against Philly. Ott. having a tough time lately, hard to figure this team out. Will see how the reshaping does in the playoffs. Think TV's right, little letdown after a big game vs. Leafs, but sheesh, this is Atlanta :(

Good luck tonight. Should have followed your over instead of taking Detroit if I'd seen it but this loads really slow for me now. It's a little better now but at 6-7, real slow :( , all the traffic I guess

GL with the Colorado game :)
