Open: Syracuse -7.5

Cuse on a 2-6 ATS run, with one win coming Sat on GMAC's prayer at buzzer.

Nova on 8-3-1 run ATS. Cover last time out , losing by 2 to SH where they were 8 point dogs.

Syracuse still overrated by Vegas even though they have struggled mightly since Edelin's suspension.

In BE games at home, Syracuse has failed to cover against:

St John -13 win by 6
Pitt - 3 lose by 21
VT -15 win by 12
Rutgers -8.5 win by 2
ND - 7 lose by 12

There one cover was against BC back on 1-10-04.

Nova comes in a solid 10-2 ATS on the road this year.

one glaring stat is that SU is giving up 15 offensive rebounds a game over their last 5 games. SU has no big bodies in the frontcourt. Warrick and Forth are tall and skinny. Warrick is a good rebounder but is wearing down as he has been asked to do much at both ends of the court.

Villanova holds a solid 31 -25 rebounding edge over opponents in their last 5.

I have seen nothing to indicate that SU is ready to break out of their doldrums. This teams misses Edelin greatly. He took so much pressure of GMAC by drawing defenders into paint and had a excellent assist to turnover ratio. The freshman have played decent in his absense but make alot of freshman mistakes. I see Villanova staying into this game till the end and have a chance to steal one if GMAC shooting woes continue.

Have to agree!

Fading the 'cuse has been profitable this year. Won a ton on the ND game and that was the same line. Unless GMAC gets real hot see this as a 2-3 pt game with a possible win by 'Nova.

Syracuse is just not playing well anymore. Edelin's missing has taken GMAC out of his game. I'm with you on this one. Vill +7:D
