ecu +4- or better: going to take a chance that the pirates will fare well on the road, but believe they have a good opportunity @ richmond. spiders will start four freshmen in their inaugural game of the season, and rely on two more frosh off the bench while running a princeton offense and a match-up zone d, two systems that usually require some experience abnd continuity to be effective. pirates are relatively green themselves but have a core of solid jucos to anchor the team, including pg darrell jenkins, who was solid in ecu's opener. pirates also have the edge of already playing their home opener, a 19 pt win over morgan st. fwiw, coach ricky stokes is from the richmond area and will have a fairly large contigent of family and friends at the game.
on a side note, hated to drop the season's first posted game last night, but you have to be impressed with the effort put forth by the dukes.
