EASTERN MICHIGAN +8 vs. OHIO

I've been looking at this game much of the day and have already called in a sizable bet. I'm now contemplating putting down even more on EMU. Before I make a leap of faith -- can anyone please tell me why Ohio U. should be an -8 point favorite against ANYBODY, let alone Eastern Michigan? I realize the EMU defense is bad -- terrible, in fact -- but EMU is a 3-3 (SU) team playing a 1-5 team, and getting 8 points! EMU is averaging 400+ yards per game on offense, while Ohio is only putting up 242 yards per game. EMU has won two straight and 3 of their last 4 games -- while Ohio was ripped by Bowling Green 72-13 last week! What in the hell am I missing to see this line so far off? The line opened at -11 and was bet down to -8, but this still looks to be a game that could swing either way. In fact, EMU looks to be the better team based on season performance. EMU has no injuries listed -- I just can't figure why this line is more than a TD. Anyone who knows these two team better than I willing to comment?

Nolan, line originally opened at +9, now at +8. One of my outs has taken this game off the board???????

We need to determine whats going on. I agree with your selection, but why did this game go off at one of my books???

Nolan....I might be a little more familiar with these 2 teams than you, but I'll tell you what.....You're dead on with E. Mich. Didn't get this game capped till later in the week, and in a way that's what kept myself off them as it dipped below 10(I hate being late capping, when I had a chance at the better line), but it is the only way to go in this game.

You're definately on the right side.

Good luck to you this weekend :D

Ehhh, dont have much to back up Ohio Nolan but did find this interesting stat...

Ohio QB's have yet to throw a touchdown while being intercepted 9 times.

Nolan, I believe that Ohio has completely dominated this series, I could be wrong but I believe that they are 8-1-1 in the last ten. As you can see from my plays posted earlier that I am on EMU got it at +9.

i tried to do like nolan here and make a case for the other side keep in mind i bet this game already got +9 -105 on weds.
ohio is primarily a running team and emu is giving up 300 yrds a game on the road rushing.
emu averages only 5 pts a game on the road while giving up 50
ohio 17 and 31 at home
ohio has played a tougher schedule they only lost to pitt by 13
emu has been blown out by all 3 decent teams they played
if the averages hold up which they never do ohio should win
33 - 18
its too late know but i got myself wondering why i played it now
good luck to you

i guess i should try to make a case for emu as well it weak but ohio's biggest weakness appears to by pass def.emu sh/be able to exploit that some as they are avg over 250 a game passing they appear to have a more balanced off over 400 a game
they did win this one last yr at home but its true ohio has dominated the series
i have it 32 31 emu out right i guess well see
