LAKERS -5 F/H (4*) -- First off, the Knicks suck. They couldn't cover with a hat on. Other than the Hornet's game the Lakers have been covering like blankets lately in the first half. I'm betting the same happens today.

Well, the Lakers played like it was easy on Sunday morning, beating up on the hapless Knicks. Here's the slate for the rest of today:

PISTONS +5 (5*) -- You never know which Bucks offense is going to show up, but we all know they don't like to play defense. I'll take the emerging Pistons and the points. They play consistent defense night in and night out.

NETS -5.5 (5*) -- The Nets have been on fire since that 3-game losing streak. Charlotte has got to be a little demoralized after almost beating the Lakers. I have NJ winning by 8.

MAGIC +1.5 (4*) -- I'll take the better team getting the points. If they can control Miller, the Magic should get the road W.
