Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Edmonton is 12-15-8 away
Detroit is 25-5-3 at home (13-1-1 last 15 at home)

Teams have met three times this season. Detroit won first two, at home 4-1 (10/24) and away 2-1 (12/13). Last meeting ended in 1-1 tie at Edmonton (1/28--Salo/Hasek).

In previous seasons the meetings at Detroit went: Det 4-3 (12/00), Edmon 4-3 (10/00), Det 5-1 (12/99), Det 4-2 (12/99).

Edmonton is 5-5 ATS vs Detroit last 3 seasons overall

Detroit is 4-1 ATS vs Edmonton at Detroit last 3 seasons, and over hit there 4-1.

Oilers have won 2 of last 15 meetings at Detroit.

under has won 6-0 this season with Oilers total at 5.5

Detroit is 5-3 SU in first game at home after a multiple-game road trip. Lost to Calgary, Chi and LA.

Oilers 3-5-2 last 10 games, and 2-2-1 last five
Wings 8-2 last 10, just lost 1-5 at Buffalo.

Oilers 8-3 ATS on 2 days rest, and 4-1 after a loss on 2 days
Wings 12-1-3 ATS on 2 days rest, and 3-1 after a loss.

Salo lost 3 of his 4 starts since Olympic break, giving up 13 goals. But is he starting? this from Edmonton Journal:

Who Is in Goal?

Good question. Tommy Salo will probably get the call, but Jussi Markkanen has only allowed two goals in the last 166 minutes (St. Louis, Buffalo, Washington). If Markkanen starts it will be his toughest test of the year, but he's up to it with a 1.69 average.

Who's in for the Wings?

Dominik Hasek stoned the Oilers in their last meeting (a 1-1 tie) and has only allowed three goals in the three Oiler meetings. It's likely he will play because Manny Legace has been nursing a shoulder/neck strain. If the Wings see the Oilers as a possible playoff matchup, they'll go with their No. 1 goalie.

Oilers next game is at Ott tomorrow, and that ends this 6 game road swing.

Wings next game is to Boston friday, NYR sat, then back home.

Detroit is 13-9 ATS as a home favorite by 1 goal or more this season.

Detroit is 9-4 ATS off an upset loss as a favorite.

Detroit's last 14 home wins, 11 were by 2 goals or more.

nice piece here on how distracted Oilers might be by impending trades
