Teddy should have retired to the life of cashing his TRUST checks and living in SHAME, instead the people of Massachusetts chose to allow him to ride on his brothers coattails, pitty really.

:D

Yea you got to love Jack & Bobby their father massed their fortune running illegal booze with the mob
then they tried to take them out & the mob wound up taking them out. :sadwave:

it`s no secret that i agree with little that kennedy represented....but,i have to say that one of my fond memories of kennedy was seeing him with the other senators singing "god bless america" on live television on the evening of 9/11(as opposed to some of the other senators, who were somewhat tight-lipped)...he was bellowing out the tune in an off-key voice as loud as he could manage......

like him or not, he loved this country.......

You really don't think that Prescott Bush was involved with Nazi money and helping make more of it for them? Seriously? You really don't think in the most basic of ways, that Dubbya and his brother's dad was a Nazi sympathizer in the most basic sense?

Do you need information on this, or do you have some basis otherwise to say he personally was not involved with Nazi's and their money?

A nice assessment, Wease. I think he was probably really reprehensible in the death of the girl, and in some of his dealings, but I think most of the folks are at those levels. What made him different was how he seemed to really care about those that were so different from him and how he grew up. He never learned that kind of thing growing up, he had to really feel it inside from learning about it and giving it a level of importance. And from what I know, there were few of his kind that were willing to do what they thought was the right thing to do, if it meant going away from his party or working with republicans. Very liberal, yes, but an impressive legislator in some very different ways than most.

Amazing how Joe Scarborough (sp?) did the same thing as Kennedy and O.J. Simpson and yet he's a darling, while Kennedy and O.J. are considered disgraces in many circles.

Joe was married and having an affiar with one of his married office workers. She was an athlete and ran 5 miles a day and ends up dead in Joe's office and it's an accident. Sure. She can run 5 miles a day in the southern heat but can't walk across the office without 'falling' and killing herself. (a blow to the head which didn't add up with any physical evidence in the office where she might have 'fallen') Of course there's nobody around when it happens.

Kennedy didn't deserve the right to serve the public with his past and this shit Scarborough doesn't deserve to be sitting on any show judging everyone else with his past. He'll probably end up being the GOP candidate soon enough too.

Teddy stopped in at a Marina I was working at here in the Keys once... before the brain cancer....hobbled out of a rented Van and up to the office. He had trouble breathing and had to sit down. Big 'ol fat white scalely guy.

Huffing and puffing asked about boat rentals, family was down renting a house in our area. I asked him if he had boating experience :mj07: ...he winked and said yes he did.

He walked slowly out to the Family in the van for a discussion....I asked the gal I was working with if she knew who that guy was? "No."

I said 'That's fking Ted Kennedy'......

He was up and down the Keys chiseling for a boat rental....:mj07: ...rained the week he was here

While I am not a fan of his liberal presuations-I will give him credit for sticking to his priciples and not flopping ever time political climate dictates.

If ever there was a born politician he was one.
Doubt he ever could have been success at any other profession.

One of only 2 people I know to escape scenario's that is immediate career ending transgression for politicians--that being

"Never be caught with dead woman--or live boy!"

Evidently applys to all states except Mass--where it equates to life time terms :)
