But I have been following the news on Ebola since the outbreak started this spring.

This is not something to fuck around with and it never should have made it to US soil.

Restricting or banning air traffic from countries with Ebola is a prudent move to protect the citizens of your country.

Hell - Pres Obama banned air traffic to ISRAEL for 2 days during the latest Israeli- Hamas conflict to PROTECT American lives from a potential missile attack? Hmmm.....maybe a couple hundred Americans on board a flight to Tel Aviv v 350 million Americans to be exposed to a possible pandemic?

But, why be proactive or smart about anything?

Hell - why don't we even send a clean-up crew to clean up the Ebola Patient Dallas vomit from the sidewalk without haz-mat gear and let them use a power washer to blow the shit all over and into the storm sewers?

Epidemiology 101 - best way to stop an epidemic is to CONTAIN IT.

No - I have not drunk the KOOLAID and think that 90% of the world's population is going to die off from Ebola.

I do think there are some hard questions that need to be asked about an appropriate US and global response to the situation and I do not think the powers that be are acting appropriately.
Ebola is one of those things than can go exponential pretty quickly.

No, sad, there's never going to be a world wide Ebola pandemic.

Ebola isn't some influenza strain than can spread by air. Nobody is going to be infected because of a cough in the same airplane. It takes physical contact with intact bodily fluids, and proper isolation is effective control. No symptomless person can transmit Ebola.

It's been around since 1976. Where has it ever had any significant spread except in the most backward regions of Africa where even rudimentary sanitation is still a mystery?

Stop worrying about Ebola and get back to trembling about the total collapse of the dollar, which the Pauls have been predicting for 30+ years.

Rand, like his daddy uses fear mongering to get attention, xsince he's basically a dunce. He should go back to doing Medicare-paid cataracts at $1000 a pop.

Interesting Duff because the Canadian Health Ministry had it listed on their website that it COULD be transmitted by a cough or a sneeze until that was mysteriously removed a few days ago.

CDC Director Frieden stated TODAY that it could be spread through a sneeze.
