let me first state i have voted republican in every presidential election i have voted in. (this should invoke certain witty responses from members) - so be it. i will always be a conservative, regardless of the stereotype that follows this decision.

the above paragraph was written to illustrate my position when it comes to politics. i am sure some or most members do not care. well i wrote with the intention of illustrating my bias when forming opinions. everyone sees everything the way they want to see it, regardless of how it really is. my point :

i will again vote for bush in this election. do i think he most represents my views - i hope so. i just feel that kerry definetly does not. do i think w is a good president - no. do i think kerry would be a good president - no. probably my personal beliefs make me a libertarian. it disgusts me that we are ruled by a 2 party system. we are left (imo) with 2 guys that are not fit to run a country. but with a 2 party system we may never get a guy worthy of the great office anyway.

maybe my post makes little sense to most. i can live with the ridicule. all i really know is that the election could effect the economy/national security a great deal, or it may play little part at all. the economy typically runs in cycles that are fairly predictable. the issue with nat sec is that they will or will not attack - regardless of who is in office now. which party is to blame is a dead point at this time. the US has lost its air of being untouchable (that may have never existed to begin with).

whoever your guy is - vote for him and live with the results - and spin the results how you want to 1 yr from now - when your job sucks or your kids act like the devil. blame it on the president and the evil party he represents. unless there is a great tragedy like 9/11 or you catch a terrible disease - your future should mostly depend on you and your daily decisions. stop over spending and there should be more $$ in your bank account.

i am so tired of reading these political threads filled with obvious bias, twisted facts, half stories, insults, etc. this will be my last post in the political forum until after the election. who cares right ?

i will check in for opinions on my thoughts - probably there won't be many anyway.

gl, with your candidate, because you will need it !

well, W won and i am satified with the result to an extent. he did get my vote. i really did not want an ambulance chasing attorney one bullet away from the presidency. having said that, i really didn't care for either candidate. we will see how the next 4 yrs go, but we, as a whole, will continue to be over taxed - this will never change.

opinions welcome.
