Well going to place my wagers now as I've looked over these games a few times and playing the following... like them or not, here are my plays.
Louisville vs. Florida - Realize Gators are hot having covered 4 in a row, but Cards are even hotter having covered 7 in a row. Really like Louisville's defensive intensity recently and really like the fact Pitino has never lost to Billy Donovan, either 6-0 or 7-0 based on what I have read. Was also surprised when Gators opened as chalk in this matchup, but not going to question oddsmakers at this point as they make the numbers for a reason. Look, neither of these teams looked good on Thursday, but won. A Louisville win sets up a possible matchup with Kentucky in the Final 4 in what could be the biggest game in the state of Kentucky's collegiate basketball history. I think the Cards prevail! Siva is a problem for Florida's quick guards and Pitino is one of a very few coaches who has taken 3 teams to a Final 4 (I know Calipari is another)... thinking Rick Pitino makes his 7th Final 4 tomorrow.
Louisville ML +105 for 10*
Syracuse vs. Ohio State - So the Buckeyes are 3 point favorites vs. the Orangemen in a game where most of the fans will be wearing Orange. Ohio State does have a nice rebounding advantage, but they are facing a team which has lost only 2 games this season. I realize Melo being out really hurts the Orangemen in a game against Sullinger and company plus Ohio State should own the rebounding edge based on stats. However, I think this Syracuse team has a little destiny on their side and tough to not like the points vs. an Ohio State club which has struggled on the road at times and I expect this atmosphere to be close to a road game. Syracuse won against Wisky despite the Badgers hitting an incredible number of treys and I feel Syracuse has the depth and team to either win or make it a nail biter where grabbing points makes sense.
Syracuse +3.5 (-120) for 10*
Well hopefully 2-0 tomorrow and might even add Mercer as they're playing good ball while not sold on Fairfield with their injury issues. Go Big East!:00hour
