Kansas #1 seed, beat 3 decent teams, Austin Peay, U Conn and Maryland. KU in Elite 8, 2-5 SU and 1-6 ATS under Self. Averaging 85 and allowing 67 in tourney thru first 3 games.
Big 12 in this round, 0-11 ATS L11. Kansas only a 2 to 3 pt fav, Oklahoma has been anywhere from +2 to pick to -1.
Oklahoma #2 seed, has had it about the same as Oregon. They beat Cal-Bake, VCU by 4 and A&M by a landslide. Kruger as a HC in Elite 8 play, he's been there once w/Florida long ago and that team was loaded. Oklahoma averaging 81 and allowing 71 in trny.
Villanova #2 seed, Big E as dogs <4 pts, 6-1L7. Last time they got thru to Final 4, they faced Kansas. Thru 3 games in tourney they have faced, NCAsh won by 30, Iowa and won by 19 and Miami-Fl with their stellar "D" and guard play and beat the Canes by 23 and it wasn't that close. Nova averaging over 88 pts while allowing just 64 in trny.
Oregon #1 seed, First time Dana Altman has been in Elite 8 after stints w/Creighton, Kansas St, was hired for 1 day w/Arkansas, and he's been in Eugene and built the program to a better level thanks to Under Armour contribution to the Athletic Dept. Ducks "D" ranks one of best left in tourney field and they have beaten Holy Cross which was a cupcake game, beat ST Joe w/good guard play by 5 and it was much closer than that and blew away Duke w/Duke's bench basically depleted and a team w/2 potential lottery picks and shut them down. Ducks scoring a 81 pt clip while allowing a tourney low 61 pgg.
