Not sure if this is what you mean, but Texas Tech got a win after the A&M kicker missed two extra points.

He missed one with a couple of minutes to go in the game, that gave A&M a 3 point lead instead of 4.

Then in overtime, A&M scores and misses another extra point. Tech wins when they convert.

Michigan v Washington - week1

Washington has a two point lead with seconds remaing and Michigan has the ball on around the 40. After a Washington timeout - Huskies send 12 men onto the field to defend the Wolverines. 15 yards later and after Michigan had gone through 8 kickers and twelve misses, they hit this 40+ yard fieldgoal as time expires to win.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
After a sensational Michigan State touchdown, the reserve QB for Notre Dame strikes while they are hoping to get in field goal range.

The mayhem in Marshall after the phantom call(s) against Miami of Ohio.

I think there was some controversey in the Wisconsin and Northern Illinois game.

4th and 1 by Ohio State over Purdue, or just about every game the Buckeyes play.

Have had a few tough beats this year, like any capper but my toughest, by far, was this past saturday as I had Vanderbilt +15 vs Kentucky:

(pasted from Phil Steele's news and notes)
UK led just 28-21 with 4:32 left and took over at their own 25. They handed off to RB Artose Pinner 9 times and he would drive them 82 yds for a TD with just :16 left for a 35-21 lead but still the Wildcats had no prayer at the cover. VU, however, fmbl?d the snap on its last play and UK DE Otis Grigsby picked it up and took it into the endzone for a TD giving them an amazing miracle pointspread cover...

I dont know about you guys, but I would RATHER be on the side of the losing team in a 44-0 blowout getting 5 points, than get 5 points and lose on some BS touchdown like in the Vandy/UK game. I have an idea-A sportsbook that refunds $$$ for ALL backdoor covers. Anyone in????:D

those backdoor covers are painful to be sure. but i am a predominant underdog bettor so when I take double digit underdogs sometimes I am counting on a backdoor cover or at least knowing it may come to that. so Marra I am with you but maybe they could refund it only if the favorite gets a back door cover. :)

How about Arizona Mildcats covering against Wash St Choakers when Wash st could not get a td with a bunch of tries at the end.
Wast st had been moving at will in 2h.

How about that Purdue Widowmakers vs Michigan Noncoverings game. Purdue gets covering td with 8 seconds left in game BUT Michigan had chance after chance to hold the ball and run clock. Purdue kept giving ball back to Mich and Mich couldnt move.

One that really sucked for me was BC Feebles vs VT $5 HOEkies.

It was a game that went back and forth spreadwise. Finally Tech gets the Frontdoor cover with 5 min in game. Get ball back and are running out clock, Had been ramming the ball down BC throat but came up short somehow. Punted and Basically LET BC score a COMPLETE GARBAGE BACKDOOR TD at the end.

I bet against BC and had to take a BC and a Goodys after that fiasco.

Ill entertain you with some other memories as soon a I remember them.
Hey -and if I made fun of your school its only that. FUN

I remember the Minnesota/Toledo game (this is really unreal from a betting standpoint) I was actually on the right side of a BS cover. Toledo backers got screwed in this one.

Minnesota (-7.5)
It was 24-21 Minnesota, on the TOLEDO 22 yard line. 4TH DOWN and 3 with like 1:50 to go. So basically I think I am screwed here, I need a touchdown to cover, thinking they are going to kick a field goal and go up by 6. For some reason, Minnesota goes for it and if they pick up the first down, they would just kneel on it and they would win by 3, hence the no cover. Well, Abdul-Khaliq throws a 22 yard TD pass, 31-21. That was one of the gresiest covers I have ever gotten considering the circumstances.:grins:

I don't think you can count BC in their game against VT. They were inside the red zone 3 separate times in the first half alone in which they came away with nothing. BC should've won that game outright.

How about the miraculous "power outage" at UNLV during their game vs Wisconsin.

I think Wisconsin was up by 17 or 21 with 6 minutes to go and laying 6 with the ball. ( hell it takes Wisconsin 6 minutes to get a first down so I'm convinced they would have run the clock out.)
However the power goes out and the game is a push due to the 55 minute rule, a game must be 55 minutes into in order for it to be official at most sportsbooks.

Seen all kinds of crazy beats and backdoor BS but this one takes the cake.

Two Notre Dame games:

1. Arnaz Battle scoring an 80 yard TD on a 5 yard pass to beat Michigan State and get the late cover and win.

2. ND's kicker making a 45 yard extra point against Pitt to get the 1/2 pt cover.
