Plays posted in order of strength

1.TB/KC over 9.5-115(Best Bet)
This game is a play based on both the staring pitchers and the HP umpire. Zambrano for the D-rays is a converted reliever with I believe only one other Major League start in his career. While he seems to have good stuff Zambrano has known to be wild and one would not expect him to go more than 6 innings even if he effective. Sedlaceck for the Royals has just been hammered lately and I would't think today would be any different. The bullpens were hard used by both teams last night in the extra inning affair and you got to think they might facor in the decision of this one also. If you combine the suspect starters with two avg. bullpens and a HP ump(D. Issiagona) that has called 5 consecutive overs, the over seems too good to pass up.
2.Atlanta Braves -110
Braves are 9-1 in last ten and no reason to think they are going to slow down. Marquis has pitched well as of late and the Braves have always seem to have the Stro's #. Sarloos seems like a good young pitcher but much of his production has come against mediocre teams. The Braves should make today another winning one.
3.Oak/NYY over 9 -140
The last six D. Wells starts have gone over the posted total. His most recent start was clearly his worst of the season and maybe it is a sign of his conditioning catching up to him. Lidle has pitched more effectively lately, but he is no stopper. Lidle has seemed to get a fair amount of run support from the A's in his most recnt starts and I am counting on that once again today. With the bullpens factored in early yesterday they could be touched for a few if involved too soon. HP umpire Schreiber has called three staight overs and were hoping he makes it four.
4.Balt -1.5 +100
In this matchup you have a teams #1 starter against a journeyman AAA pitcher. I expect R. Lopez to rebound from his last start and keep the Tigers in check today. The Orioles have been hot lately winning 7 of their last 10 and should win by a couple today.
5.SD Padres +133(Value Play)
This play is mainly a play against the Reds starter Dempster. I am ashamed to admit that I have been a long time Marlins fan and have seen Dempster pitch for awhile. Dempster is a good young pitcher but when he goes bad he goes bad for an extensive period of time. It is clear that the Reds have had no luck in getting Dempster back on track. The Padres starter B. Jones faced Dempster in his last losing in a wild 15-10 game. If one recalls the game they will remember that Jones was given a big league and crumbled. Jones was pitching well before that aforementioned start and I think he is the better pitcher right now. Both bullpens were spent last night and I think Jones will throw more quality innings.
6.FL Marlins +275(Longshot Special)
I know I must be crazy going against Johnson but I think there is value. Randy is coming off back-back complete games and it was just a couple of weeks ago he was having back problems. Tejiera is nothing special for the Marlins but I think he should be able to keep Marlins close. HP umpire is J.Hirschbeck and he is a definite pitchers ump especially in the National League. I think both pitchers will benefit from the larger strike zone and this game might come down to the bullpens and +275 is just too good a price. I was looking at the under but seven was just too low to make a play.
