I think the cab driver should be fired. I wonder if he was saying something to the driver that made him not want to come out. If someone comes out of their vehicle and starts hitting my window with an object, I am going to flee or run the fucker over. I know the driver is at fault but all the cabbie had to do was take down the plate and call police or CB it in. Very simple. Getting out of your vehicle with an object is not the way to go

Would be nice to hear from an attorney to see if the guy fleeing had grounds due to fear of well being

You need to whole story. The guy fled after bumping slightly into the cab. He didn't exchange information or cooperate because he was in a stolen vehicle, hence why he fled. No attorney is going to help that guy on any grounds.
