Blair is a beast, but he really didn't destroy Thabeet, as Thabeet barely even played.

In the NCAA tournament, I'd still rather have Thabeet in the long haul.

Thabeet is good, but I would much rather have Blair. He continually proves how good he is.

I'm just talking about the landscape of the NCAA tournament and how a guy who can deflect shots in the paint make a difference.

Losing Dyson really hurts this team.

Blair has skills! Thabeet needs to stay in school:mj07: and learn how to score! He is too big and can dominate the block defensively but offensively his contribution (when playing a formidable or better big man) is weak!:142smilie

And Blair can't make a difference by gobbling up every rebound in sight and be much more opportunistic for his team on offense?

I guess we can just agree to disagree then.

Blair will be neutralized by guys who are just as strong, physical, and active while Thabeet will make impacts on defense.

I'm just saying, I'd rather have Thabeet come tournament time.

Seriously? Pitt has a #20 SOS, and Blair has averaged a double-double including being in the top 5 rebounding as well as having a FG% of 60%. Obviously there aren't many that can "neutralize" him. You are right, we will agree to disagree. You can have Thabeet, I'll take Blair. They've played twice against each other and Blair has had the decisive edge in both match-ups. Maybe we'll get another look in the BET.

The problem is, people expect Thabeet to be some sort of offensive juggernaut. Find me a UCONN center in the last 10 years, hell, I don't remember UCONN ever having an offensive minded CENTER. I want Thabeet for his defense.

People saw he had 29points and thought he dominated on offense. That wasn't the case, he gets his points on rebounds and dunks.

What they do against each other doesn't bother me since Thabeet has been in foul trouble both times and they won't meet up in the NCAAs.

They play March 7. Lst Big East game of the year!! I'd rather have someone who can score. Thabeet can't. I'll take Blair and a Nat'l Champ at the end of the year!!

Blair might be better offensivley right now but you are forgetting how raw Thabeet is. Hes been playing organized basketball for maybe 4-5 years now. Thabeet has the potential to be on a level Blair will never reach, but right now, Blair is probably the better player. Dosent mean Thabeets praise isnt deserved though.
