Surfing last night and landed on "Antiques Road Show" and a young man had memorabilia his Grandpa had given him. Kid Nichols was pre-1900's and as a major league pitcher won 30 or more games 7 times. His best year was 35 wins.

How bout some offensive seasons...

Hugh Duffy 1894

440 AVG 502 OB% 18 Hrs(league leader) 48 SBs 145 RBis, 160 Runs

Nap Lajoie (Ty's rival) 1901

426 AVG 463 OB% 14 Hrs (2nd), 27 SBs, 125 Rbi, 145 Runs & the slickest fielding 2b of the time.

And probably the greatest offensive season ever due to the fact it was done in what is known as the most dominant pitching year in the histroy of baseball

Honus Wagner 1908

354 AVG 415 OB% 10 Hrs (2nd) 53 SBs, 100 runs 109 RBIs

CES, I don't think i've ever watched that show before in my life. I couldn't even tell you what channel it was on but I did see that part. What I was suprised about is that it wasn't valued at more. I thought it would be in the 100k's. good thing I'm not a collector!

Yeah, me too, considering the story and presentation.

Maybe 3 sec should have been the commentator. Good stuff.
