The season started with alot of overs as the rule changes resulted in tonnes of powerplays. However in the last week, totals have started to come back down as my stats show fewer penalties being called (teams starting to get accustomed obstruction rules). I'd also guess that after 2 weeks, teams are starting to gel.

After pretty much an entire week of Salami unders, I was thinking last night that I might jump on it again today. However, looking at the card...I see 3 out of 5 games going over. So a hard call in my opinion.

Line has dropped to 28.5 in most places so if you are considering under, do it sooner rather than later.

I'd be interested if anyone has tracked the percentages of overs vs. unders for the GS. I know the under has come in at least the last 4 nights and just throwing probability into the equation, a over should be coming up. I have in the past just doubled up the next day on a loss till the over or under comes in. This can get hairy if you get a long string of one or the other. I tend to go with unders as I believe that the majority is usually on the over, similar to Nolan's ideas on overs in football, the public likes to see scoring. I own a business and numbers are a big part of my capping. I'll play the over tonight only because we are due and if the line is dropping, that makes it more tempting as I also like going against the crowd in gambleing. GL whatever you decide.:)

Just to follow up a little, I do like the overs in the LA - Rangers, Det - Pitts and Wash - TB games. :D

That's exactly who I had in mind when I made my post. ;)

but after some reading, I'm thinking NYR might play a bit more disciplined hockey and take fewer penalties as that's the reason they've lost 4 straight. That along with Kings good PK might keep this one under.

I like how the Kings are skating and your dead on with the Rangers, IF they can do that. I just have to see a game of it first before I believe they can play more unified. They just seem to be classic underachievers with the talent they have had the last few years and this year doesn't look any different yet. I'm not a Ranger fan but I wouldn't mind seeing their talent come together just to see how good they truely could be.

The line on the GS has been beefed up recently - a couple of goals have been added to the sum of the game totals - and with a slowing downn in offensive production, that's why the under has cashed.
Today the total is exaactly the sum of the games.

GL :)
