Ole Miss -2
Think the experience and revenge factor give Rebs the edge. Keep an eye on the line movement.

UCF -28
A lot of chalk but I don't see how Akron keeps it within the number.

Fresno St. -8-
Rutgers going across country again one of the best offenses in the country. Not a good spot for Rutgers.

N. Carolina +11
Think UNC can keep it some what close. Possible backdoor. UNC has pretty good offense.

Utah -4-
USU's first game with new HC. Utah has big size advantage at WR. Unranked home fav.

Minnesota -17
A lot of chalk for an opponent that took you to 3OT last year, but Minny improved over the year and should be better this year. Should score a lot of pts in this one.

BG +3
Most experienced team in the country. Tulsa D will be rebuilding and lose 3 OL.

Thoughts?

Akron is tough read.......they should be better with another off-season under Terry Bowden.

I agree on Rutgers.......tough spot for them.

Flip flopping on Minny to UNLV. The more I read about this team, the more I like. Vegas has their win total at 4- which is up from last year. Looking at their schedule I see 4 winnable games which makes me believe Vegas may know something. Hopefully this line jumps up to around 20.

UNLV stood out to me as a possible play at 17 right off the bat. Bad team last year but did take the Gophers to OT and bring back, I believe, 18 starters from that squad. Granted, Minnesota returns quite a few players as well. I think I'd need the 17 to play it (but obviously still early). The Nugget opened this at 13 and it was 15 there as of Monday. Seeing 16.5 at 5dimes.

I will be on Ole Miss at -3 or better. The early line movement stinks to high heaven but barring something terrible happening once camps open, this will definitely be a play for me.

Also like Fresno quite a bit. It is on my shortlist. Been focused on NFL since the draft ended and just started to dive into CFB but this one stuck out to me immediately due to the travel factor, returning starters (16 v. 10) and the considerable amount of talent Rutgers lost to the NFL this offseason.

Apparently four Vanderbilt football players are being investigated for a sexual assault and have been suspended from the team. Haven't seen any names yet, though, so unsure on how it could potentially affect them.

I'm still remembering what SMU did to Fresno last year in the bowl game. Does Rutgers return many starters; they always seem to have a good defense. Line scares me though.

12 (7:5) I believe... Couple of issues with them that I see are: Which Nova shows up? and Who takes over for Greene?

Your above my head Corley, I haven't done any research at all, had just remembered that Rutgers usually fields a good D and can be tough as a dog. I think it was mainly that DE for SMU that made life miserable for the Fresno QB and Rutgers may be capable of doing that also. I guess Rutgers just spooks me some, they are one of those teams, whether I have them or their opponent, I usually lose. So probably just a personal thing with me. Know you understand.

Yeah I do.

Interesting note... Rutgers hasn't been west of the MS River since '99... Just can't back this team traveling that far with a Jekyll and Hyde QB and no real leader on either side of the ball against a team with one of the top QB's in the country and a explosive offense. Fresno is also tough at home.

Really like the way that LT/NCSU line looks....

Bulldogs +11 at Pack.....:SIB

I think this one has "nailbiter/shootout" written all over it.
