guy in the league Im in sent me a trade.

G Sizemore , Mark DeRosa and jorge Cantu

for

J Morneau and A McCutchen

My first year in Fantasy Baseball. On paper looks pretty good, but he's a baseball guru and I need some insight on if I'd actually be upgrading here.

Thanks in advance...

keeper league?

keeper league?

mccutchon has some more upside.

even if isnt a keepepr league, not sure that you get the same output from those guys you'd be getting

does the total of stats from derosa sizemore and cantu total those of mccutchen and morneau--no, they proabably dont, though it'll be taking an extra position to get the difference. meaning 2 guys doesnt equal 3 guys. if you can get comparable total stat numbers from 2 guys that you could from 3(aside form one of them being a catcher) then why wouldnt you want the two guys

sizemore is having an abysmal year--he prolly should improve some between now and the end of the year, though for what--even they the indians were saddened to see derosa go. and where exactly is he going--where everyday starters go to die. i know cuz i have ludwick AND rasmus--and am always bouncing them back and forth into my lineup. mind you the mixing it up helps keep guys fresher and be better rested to perhaps play better--but it dioesnt always translate that way in baseball. i really dont know much about cantu except he was always considered a "sneaky" fill in for 3b though truly was never a high end guy for that position. decent HR 3's but more SO's. derosa though? man, i;m waiting for hi to come back to earth. he's having a crazy career yr. still, i'm gonna hafta reserve judgement until end of yr to see exactly where he finishes, though i for now still have him as more a uilty player like he was with the cubs.

mccutchon--in only seeing his results thus far, would imagine the kid is a lil speedier, less powerful adam jones. he looks really solid and i for one--wouldnt really let him go for much. morneau i've had and he is quietly solid throughout. good ba and HR's are always there, though. not sure which end you'd be on--though i like the morneau and mccutchen side. thats me GL hope this helps

80/279 31R 9hr 47bi 1sb .287

75/287 47R13HR 50bi 1sb .261
207/799 109r 32hr 136bi 9sb

=269 abs 36 R 11 HRs 45 bi 3 sb per player

92/294 54R 19HR 64bi 0sb .313

31/109 16R 1HR 18bi 4sb .284
123/403 70R 20HR 82bi 4sb

=202 abs 35 R 10 HR 41bi 2sb per player

these players are averaging essentially the same amount of stats per player position in 60+ fewer ABs per guy

you get more playing outta these two players as both are everyday guys, not sure if derosa will be--or if sizemore lasts the year, injury prone as is this yr

all depends on how your scoring leaggue is as well as what the rest of your lineup looke like--what postions you're weak and strong in

watch out with sizemore...

watch out with sizemore...

reason being, he will need surgery in the off season. My thinking is if Clev continues to suck, why risk Sizemore? I have a feeling he doesn't finish the year.

I'd say no trade. GL

been playing for years and that trade favors him slightly...not sure about keeper leagues but McCutch is a future star and he plays for the Pirates...wait til he gets dealt to a contender (Yanks always look for guys like that).

Morneau is a top 1b at a deep position.

Sizemore has been a beast but having a down year and like mentioned, there is talk about surgery.

Stand pat and wait for a better offer.

nope

nope

just my 2 cents...but what do you need? How would it benefit you? Where are your strengths/weaknesses? I'd look at that first. Then look at how trading McCuth could benefit you. Are you needing to trade or was this his proposal from the beginning?
