damn those went fast. a few under cards not to bad then grant gets smacked in the chin in the first round and some how breaks his ankle, then mosley wasnot even a tune up,what pisses me off is larry merchant from hbo makes it look like mosley doesnot want to fight anyone but its the same as roy jones know one wants to fight either of them, hope some of you played the under for the easy win, working on the holyfield fight,i think that fight will suck.

fletch,

I think Merchant has a point there. It is not that Mosley does not want to fight anyone, it is that nobody will fight him for the ludicrous prices he asks. $10 million for Moseley to fight De La Hoya???? With all apologies to Moseley, he must be on crack if he thinks he can draw $10 million+. That is asinine. If I were Oscar I would tell him to cram it up his ass and keep fighting Sal E. Tomatocan until he lowers his proce to a more reasonable number. It may not be just, but boxing is all about box office appeal and box office appeal is without question not on the level or Vargas, De La Hoya or Trinidad. Mosley should swallow his pride and take a smaller payday to get these big fights and then make himself into a bigger draw by beating one of the three guys with big ethnic followings.

Hey Fletch did you ever find a place offering the under?

I tried all freaking day & night to no avail.

I just bet on Mosley at -1800 since I knew he wouldn't lose.

I should have called a few more people to find it especially since some did have it but it's all said & done with, a winner is a winner.

I agree, I think he is the best out there now & I dare anyone to prove him wrong. Hopefully he'll fight some of the top names & show his stuff.

Who do you think he'll fight next & who would you like to see him fight?

Oh what were the odds on the under 6 rounds & any reason why you didn't put some change on it?

he will have 1-2 more avg fights and a rematch with chicken De La Hoya in early april in vegas next year. where he will smack Oscar around like a cat toying with a mouse.

Maybe the best fight left is. Mosley up about 10 to 12 lbs if he can handle it. Vs Jones coming down about 12 to 14 lbs. Only problem, it could screw them both up and the fight to.

Just a quick question for you boxing cappers....

I am not an expert but have won on most of the fights I bet on, with the exception of having the over in the last time DeLaHoya fight which lost by 7 sec. My record is about 5-1 this last year.

How do you think Felix "Tito" Trinidad would fare up against the likes of Sugar Shane Mosely or Roy Jones Jr.????

trinidad will have all he can handle soon ,when he ties up with a pure backstreet fighter in hopkins a tuff philly fighter, the age difference might be the key.
roy jones jr is probley the strongest out of the 3 in puuching power, but mosley is a pup and has room to grow, thats why i list him as the best out there right now.

Well....I still consider myself to be the chief resident dumbass around here. I was able to include Mosley in a number of parlays. NO way was I going to lay a lot of wood to play that. Just didn't make any sense to me.

5 Dimes let's you parlay tennis, golf and boxing with other sports. So that's how I did it. I dunno how much value it added but every little bit helps!

Az, you hit a couple parlays. Make some bucks. I would think it was a easy way with out laying to much coin. Of course you need to get by the odds of the parlay. Hey not all that bad of idea. The odds on that Mosley fight were very high. I think everyone felt he would win. But strange things happen. The over under is what I would have liked to play. Never found a number up anyplace. Told my self anything 4.5 and higher I was playing under. Never got the chance. Hope you hit a parlay or two.
And to the question who wins between the three mention above. Mosley, Trinidad, Jones I have to go with Jones for at least another year. Then he might start to slip. Fletch is right about Mosley he's freash as they say.

I know this is kind of foolish, but I have to ask this.......

Over the past five or six years I have watched about 15 fights where Larry Merchant has been the ringside commentator.....

Is it just me, or does he seem drunk out of his mind everytime he does a fight? I mean the comments, questions, speach patterns.... everytime I say this guy must have had at least a half dozen cocktails before he goes on the air.

i have ran into him about 5times in the last 2 years.he isnot drunk,he is just a guy getting up there in age that is angery at life. he is the howard cosell of boxing same type of behavior. saying things that are rude and unprofessional,i dont think he will be with hbo much longer inless he gets his act together. he is a grumpy sob.

He's always seems to get worse and worse as the fight goes on. I always thought he took sedatives of some sort before the bout and they kicked in through the rounds, lol
