Have any of you ever gone on a fast, say more than 48 hours? Why and what were the results?

you really should work up to a 3 day fast..

start w/one day a week w/nothing but lemon water..

break the fast w/ruffage and then a small meal later in the evening..

after several weeks of this schedule you can go to a two day fast and break it the same way..

A 3 day fast is not something you just want to do off the cuff..The body and mind go through some very deep cleaning on a 3 day and you should work up to it..

A 3 day should be a goal to reach and then do it once every 30 days..

if ya have any other questions I will be glad to convey the schedule I used and the various foods I ate before and after..

A great way to cleanse if you have the discipline.

if ya want to dive head long into a 3 day be prepared for the toxins passing through the brain and digestive system..

long time ago for me but the hunger cravings and the headaches along w/the uncomfortable and actual pain from the digestive system naturally cleaning itself are a memory forever..

w/the above mentioned schedule you will actually get to a point where your body and mind will look forward to the weekly one day fast and actually crave the 3 day fast.

that is why I say work up to it..

Fasting is not a diet..it is a way of life..

as FDC would say..........

"I hope this helps"

I did a 2-day fast once. It was a number of years ago, I had just gotten my @ss handed to me in some sports bets and I was tapped out. No money for food or nuthing.

End result: I was not happy after fasting.

How much lemon water did you consume daily?

Had the same thing once long time ago. Lost 10-12 pounds from about 4 days of basically eating nothing - maybe one bowl of soup. But the weight came back quick once flu left.

OLD SCHOOL...please post more, I would like to know how much and of what you had and were doing, as I have toyed with this idea for awhile but never had a nutritionist to give me advise, not that you are, but sounds like you had success with your style of doing so. Could you give as much details as possible as I would like to go through the regiment and start including this in my quest to cleanse the system and body, and these infommercials that use a substance to make you SHAT pieces of a rubber hose 3 ft long I am not sure about the safety involved with those, thanks in advance and hopefully you enlighten all of us that are interested!!!!!

I'm curious as to why you want to fast?

i dont, necessarily. just want to hear first-hand experiences. many claims are advanced on behalf of fasting. wondering if any have experience bearing it out - specifically whether it helps

- overall health
- overall energy
- weight loss
