Just wondering if you have had the opportunity to do this yet. If not then you have to try it. Caught in the Amazon River.

I've never give anywhere to fish specifically for peacocks no, but I will and it will be in the amazon. Without a doubt. Beautiful fish. I know they can't resist those double bladed woodchoppers. Great looking fish my friend.

Old School,
No way you could do that down there with a medium action and 10 lb test. The rods wouldn't have the backbone to pull those big woodchopper baits and set the hook. You'd lose 9 out of 10 in my opinion.

Now if you want to catch a 10 pound bass then I would suggest a trip to Texas or Mexico. Lake Amistad in the spring and I promise you'll catch more than one. Lake Falcon as well. The best kept secret giant black bass lake anywhere is Sugar lake just over the border of Texas City, Texas. Small lake and full of gilled slobs. Awesome.
