well, it's officially kick me in the nutz day (as is every SUNDAY), it seems that I post well in the main forum on sundayz, but my picks in PEPIN's CONTEST and the P.O.D CONTEST really suck on sundays...hahahhahah
hope i didn't jinx myself now, but then again, i was never superstitious.

here are today's plays..to only be used for entertainment purposes only.

disclaimer: IF YOU LOSE ON MY PICKS, DO NOT COMPLAIN!!!

1: my HUGE play of the day:
TAMPA BAY!!!(+165)
why may you ask? well yes, surely you may.
We're going by the usual Sunday sweep theory, that teams who lose the first two or three of a series will try to give that extra effort not be embarrased and swept. As well, it's a good psychological edge to start a new week. All that aside, this new Kennedy kid on TB has given up an average of two runs in his first two start with TB while winning both. On Tampa???? Hell, he's got a better chance of getting more wins than the whole starting staff of TB combined if he keeps on pitching that way. Good ol Ryan Dempster (canadian kid..) hasn't pitched too bad lately. At home, he seems to be streaky, 2 losses then two wins, and combining that with TB's extra effort they're going to give today. Poor ol Dempster doesn't have a chance.

atleast we hope.

not being a father OR married ( i'm 26 yrs young and playing the field...GRINS), i enjoy my free time that I have, which includes continuing my verbal diatribe:

2) My kick me in the NUTZ pick for the week:
CLEVELAND (-150)

yes, i have lost money on clev the last two days (c'mon people, you all have as well...)
so it begs to differ that CLEV will try to avoid being swept by those now pesky PIRATEZ with C.C on the mound and pummel them in the process.
C.C's been pitching very well on the road as he has been getting ALOT of run support as well on the rd.
this is why I am also taking the OVER 10 runs (-105)
AND the -1.5 runline!!! (-120)

AM I nutz..???? YES!!! I AM!!!

I like your Tampa Bat pick. This will be my first ever wager for them to win. But your Cleveland pick would scare the hell outa me! You must have THREE balls

If you're gonna take a run line you might wanna look at Philladelphia and Arizona. I'm on both of them at -1.5 runs.

Good Luck Three Balls

CONTINUING.

and here's to end the card ( no more high
favs for me on sundayz)

3) TORONTO/MONTREAL under 8.5 (-120)
my two fav pitchers: Michalek and Armas jr.
I'm staying away from the w/l here cause i have a fefeling that the JAYZ aren't very good right now and I've been riding Armas HUGE lately, thus picking the total.

4) DET/ARIZONA OVER 8 (-110)
Detroit being the good fastball hitting team that they are, and Mlicki being the sucky pitcher that he is, I'm hoping for an easy over here. Arizona usually gets better as a series goes on as they are 12-9 in game three's and 7-4 after a win in game two.
But i'm not willing to lay all that chalk on Shilling, even if it is at home, due to al this interleague weirdness.

and now it's my "goes against everything I've said" to put me in the green PICK:

5) taking MILWAUKEE (what???) (-145)

yes, my beloved Brew-CREW were swept in the double header (at home, no doubt) by those insatiable rascalz, the dubious K.C Royales (with cheese). Reasoning suggests that MILW will avoid the sweep by putting in that extra effort for the fans to win that one game they so dearly need to get themselves on the right foot to start the week.

Hope you've enjoyed my write-up.
GLTA.

I'm about three grand in the hole with baseball (it's eating into my bankroll from HOCKEY!!!). hahahhahahhah

have fun out there today.

a) teams that play well on sunday:

boston 8-2
minny, seattle, florida, st.loo 7-3

b) teams that suck on sunday:
detroit 2-7
oakland 3-7
toronto (what..???) 3-8
cinci 3-7

last week when i used SIMILIAR stats for one day (can't remember which one, ) they all went opposite except for BOSTON.

I'll try to see if i could find the thread.

that's it, i give up...I'm done with inter-league play...oh wait....after today it is over.
well, after the good money I've had come in , it's all gone now with the cleveland fiasco weekend. Three plays on Cleveland = three losses. This one was especially hurtful as I had EXTRAPOLATOR kick me in the nutz...lucky for me I had my cup on...(heh heh heh....SUCKA!!!!)

so let's see: I'm already -375 in the hole.

great start.
let's see if we can salvage some dignity.

Let me also give thanks that my P.O.D came through :

montreal/toronto under 8.5

like i said, I had a feeling that Montreal was gonna give toronto a go, hence the total.

but what the hell, a three run homer in the bottom of the ninth..to knock a total from 2 to 5...?? I'll take that one and run.

and we complete the kick me in the nutz card with TB losing as most people on this forum thought it was a gimme earlier today.

final tally.

3-4 = -1.75 unitz.

let's just chalk it up to bad luck.

BACK on the horse tomorrow for the start of a new week, thanks everyone for watching, have a good nite!!!
