*No personal write..some game notes*

BROWNS OFFENSE VS. RAIDERS DEFENSE

Frye (422 passing yards, 3 TD, 3 INT) has yet to preside over a victory in his first two starts, but the rookie's respectable 81.6 passer rating has to please the Browns and their fans. The Akron product last week completed 16- of-24 passes for 138 yards with a touchdown and an interception, also rushing for a score on a three-yard run in the first quarter. Frye is listed as questionable for this week with a sore knee, but is expected to be in the lineup. The rookie's favorite target in the Cincinnati loss was No. 1 wideout Antonio Bryant (51 receptions, 3 TD), who made four catches for 48 yards in a losing effort. Fellow receiver Dennis Northcutt (29 receptions, 2 TD) added three grabs for 29 yards in the game, and tight end Steve Heiden (39 receptions, 3 TD) chipped in with three catches for 27 yards and his third touchdown of the season. Frye was sacked twice by the Bengals, and the Cleveland line has now surrendered 30 sacks on the season. The Browns are 20th in the league in passing offense (197.5 yards per game).

Frye should be able to keep his mistakes to a minimum while working against an Oakland defense that has an NFL-low three interceptions on the season. Only one player who will be active this week - safety Stuart Schweigert (69 tackles, 1 INT) - has a pick in 2005. The Raiders did manage to limit the Jets' Brooks Bollinger to 119 passing yards last week, but wasn't able to make any big plays off of the signal-caller. Safety Jarrod Cooper (41 tackles, 0.5 sacks) had a team-high nine tackles in the defeat, and cornerbacks Renaldo Hill (73 tackles) and Fabian Washington (34 tackles) had five each. The Oakland pass rush has been anchored all season by end Derrick Burgess (46 tackles, 13 sacks), who leads the NFL in sacks. Burgess posted two sacks of Bollinger last week, and now has six two-sack games in 2005. The Raiders are 16th in NFL passing defense (200.6 yards per game).

Attempting to take some of the pressure off of the young Frye will be Cleveland running back Reuben Droughns (1103 rushing yards, 2 TD, 32 receptions), who earlier this season became the first Browns running back since 1985 to eclipse the 1,000-yard plateau. Droughns has not scored a touchdown or gone over 100 yards in his past three games, however, managing just 74 yards on 21 carries in last week's loss to the Bengals. Droughns was spelled last week by running back Lee Suggs, who had not had a touch since Week 3 due to various injuries and contributed two receptions for 13 yards to the proceedings. Fullback Terrelle Smith (7 receptions, 1 TD) had two receptions netting three yards versus Cincinnati. Cleveland is 18th in NFL rushing offense (101.2 yards per game) as Week 15 begins.

The Raiders are 25th in the NFL against the run (124.1 yards per game), and last week allowed the Jets' formerly-deficient run game to amass 184 yards on the ground. Oakland will require a stronger effort this week from inside linebackers Kirk Morrison (101 tackles) and Danny Clark (92 tackles, 1 sack), who rank 1-2 on the team in stops in 2005. Clark had a game-high 14 tackles against the Jets last Sunday, and Morrison chipped in with eight stops. Up front, Bobby Hamilton (40 tackles, 2 sacks) and Ted Washington (37 tackles) have provided the team a presence at the point of attack this year. Hamilton ranked among team leaders with six tackles versus the Jets, and Washington had four.

RAIDERS OFFENSE VS. BROWNS DEFENSE

All eyes in Oakland will once again be cast upon Collins (3118 passing yards, 16 TD, 10 INT), who ranks among NFL leaders in passing yards but has struggled with costly turnovers this season. Prior to his one-week demotion, Collins had compiled a passer rating of 79.6. The veteran will look to get wideouts Randy Moss (47 receptions, 5 TD) and Jerry Porter (60 receptions, 5 TD) involved early this week, after both were quiet with Tuiasosopo at the helm last Sunday. Moss was held to two catches for 18 yards in the loss, and Porter had four grabs for 36 yards and the team's only touchdown of the day. Third wideout Doug Gabriel (26 receptions, 2 TD) also contributed in the defeat, hauling in a couple of grabs for 24 yards. An Oakland line that has struggled all season allowed a bloated six sacks to the Jets last Sunday, and has now surrendered 38 on the year. The Silver and Black are ninth in NFL passing offense (231.4 yards per game).

Collins should have plenty of time to throw against a Cleveland defense that ranks dead last in the league with 16 sacks. The Browns did not have a sack of Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer, meaning team co-leaders Alvin McKinley (54 tackles, 3 sacks) and outside linebacker Chaun Thompson (63 tackles, 3 sacks) were unable to up their totals in that category. The Browns secondary did play well, however, with cornerback Leigh Bodden (42 tackles, 2 INT) holding Pro Bowl wideout Chad Johnson to two catches for 22 yards and fellow corner Daylon McCutcheon (64 tackles, 2 INT) limiting T.J. Houshmandzadeh to a modest six receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown. McCutcheon also forced a fumble in the contest. Safeties Chris Crocker (65 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 INT) and Brian Russell (53 tackles, 1 sack) added six tackles each in the loss. Cleveland ranks a respectable sixth in the league in passing defense (182.2 yards per game).

After it appeared that Raiders running back LaMont Jordan (893 rushing yards, 65 receptions, 11 TD) was beginning to become the player that the team had expected when they spent hefty free agent money on him this past offseason, the former Jet has struggled to make much of a positive impact in recent weeks. After going for over 80 total yards (rushing/receiving) in 10 of his first 11 games, Jordan has been held to a total of 144 in his past two contests, and has not scored a touchdown. Against his former team last week, Jordan carried 14 times for 49 yards and caught four balls for 30 yards out of the backfield. No other Raider running back had a touch last week, as fullback Zack Crockett (110 rushing yards, 1 TD, 10 receptions) did not have a carry or catch for the first time this season. With the weak ground effort, Oakland dropped to 29th in the league in rushing offense (85.7 yards per game).

The Browns challenged Cincinnati to beat them with Rudi Johnson and the running game last week, and run Johnson did. The Pro Bowler piled up a season- high 169 yards and a touchdown in the contest, helping the Bengals to the victory. Inside linebackers Ben Taylor (99 tackles) and Andra Davis (124 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT) will be among the Cleveland run-stoppers looking to bounce back this week. Taylor had a team-high nine tackles against Cincinnati, and Davis pitched in with six stops and his first interception of the season. In the trenches, end Orpheus Roye (77 tackles, 2 sacks) led Browns linemen with five tackles in the Cincinnati game, and fellow starters McKinley and Jason Fisk (25 tackles) combined for four stops. Cleveland ranks a distant 27th in the league in rushing defense (132.4 yards per game) heading into Week 15.

Being a Faider fan :s4: its not easy to even want to cap em anymore this year. But I gotta agree with this play soul. Even Collins should be able to light it up on this def, and you KNOW you can always count on KC providing a couple of juicy turnovers to help the Browines along as well! :mj07: 2x over 39.5

Bonus Crazy Play of the week Brownies +3 1x

I predict that the browns will win on a long Int return on a typical Collins (please get rid of this guy soon!) out patern that gets jumped as he telegraphs it as usual. And its easy to beat the faider def as well.... lots of stretch plays and misdirection, bootlegs and intermidiate passes over the middle (please fire Rob Ryan soon as well.... I thought Bresnihan was bad LOL! :cursin: ) and you outrun the patheticly slow OLBs and Safetys.

Being a raider faider is a GREAT way to make more $$$$$$ the past 3 years!

I'm a little concerned about the weather (windy and a 100% chance of steady rain) in this one...but Good Luck today!
