Great week, Augur. You continue to amaze me with your consistency. Sorry about that Rutgers game. I really thought you had it. Would like a little info about how you play parlays. How many teams you play, and do you always round-robin them? Do you often win on them? Parlays are strange. Every week we win enough games to win a nice-sized parlay--it's just a matter of getting the right teams involved. Also, let us know as soon as you know which of your games this week are 2-units. I like your early plays -- you have a lot of the same teams I've been thinking of. Best of luck this week, as always.

Thank you NYReb for the kind words ...as to parleys ...yes i play them and ALWAYS round robin them...and yes i win money playing them ..this week i played 7 ...hit 2 all teams.3-0 and 2 hit 2-1 ..lost 1-1 on 2 ...tie and win on 1 ..do the math...not shabby ...first a few of my rules i follow ...never but never play over 4 teams then round robins only ...of course no R-R on 2 teamers ...had your Tenn on 2 of those i hit ...for some reason i dont understand ...but works is i play odd numbers of parleys like 3-5-7 ...if Rutgers had come in ...would have hit 2 more ...BUT not complaining it was still a good day ...like this card a lot ...usually a bad sign LOL...Last week bet 3 games very early line as felt they would move up and did ..LSU went 6 ..6 1/2 ...7 ...7 1/2 by game time ...waited on N.Caro St and got a free hook here... this week bet 6 early...feel at least 3 of them will climb higher...if after my final cap i dont like one or 2 ...will buy it off ..but feel its cheaper than buying points later ...might get a middle play on one of them if i am lucky ...its called gambling is'nt it lol ...till laters ...Augur

Augur, I don't know if from your subject the guys understand that this is a thread about your bets for this weekend. If you want to, you can edit and change the subject. Or maybe things are just moving slowly this week. Just my own feeling here.

Thanks for your comments about this thread Reb ...no problem ...as i am not going to use it for my final picks any way ...just a starter thread fishing for comments on thoughts of my leans ...need to weed out a few leans and add a few better ones as i cap ...i see here that most only pick one to four games ...thats their style ..feel thats fine ...its really what works for each of us ... for me its picking what i feel is the right side on a line ...5-10-15 games does not matter to me ..and picks with the knowing that i am going to lose some ...its a game of percentages with me ...over the years i know that 58-60 percent of 12 games pays better than the same percent of 4 games a week ...if the guys on here does not like my style of betting ...then they do not have to follow my thread ...lots of good cappers in here ...the most i have seen on any one site i have been in so far ...but i refuse to change what works for me ...my records show only one losing year in the last 15 ...and that was not do to poor capping ...it was because i got greedy on bowl games ...instead of betting like i did all season ...i plunged all my reg seasons winnings on nine bowl games and lost 6 of them ..stuped .. but leaned my lesson ...never again ...then bet from my pocket on the new years day games and lost a bit more ...got back some on the super bowl ..but still down 5 units for the year ...when i had a winning year in the bag ...telling this as a lesson to young betters on here ...money management is just inportant as good capping.... takes BOTH to come out a winner ...the books have all the edge with the vig ...so you need all the edge back you can find ...thats what i have learned in my long years of betting ...end of lecture ...Augur

Augur,

When I first reviewed this weeks card, I circled UL Monroe + as one of my plays.

Then I did a little research....

In last weeks game, half of the Monroe team was out with a respiratory infection.

Secondly, the starting Monroe QB was suspended from the Idaho game for a violation of team rules.

I don't know the status of the Monroe QB for this game vs Troy, nor do I know anything about the teams recuperation from the illness.

I do know UL Monroe has a nice little aerial offense and I initially thought the O/L of -14' was an overlay due to the last game performances for both Troy and Monroe.

Also worth noting....Even though Troy won outright at Utah State, the Utah State starting QB was injured on the first play of the second half and did not play the remainder of the game. His backup did not play well. Went 7-17 for 56 yards and threw three interceptions. Utah State turned the ball over 7 times in the game, 4 lost fumbles and 3 INT's.

Augur, I went 9-4 last Saturday, which is 13 games for me, so I tend to play more than most also. Still looking forward to your finalized list of 2-unit plays. Good luck, and take care!

Great week last Augor! Followed many of your 2 unit plays. Look forward to your college B Ball selections once season gets into full swing. Really like the Utah pick. I agree in thinking they are the much better team talent wise. What is your take on Mich St this week? I gotta believe they are ready for a big game. Three staight losses and now getting Penn St at home. Penn St layed a big number on a terrible Indiana team which may be keeping the line a little lower than normal. I think MSU wins by 10-14 points. I usually play many games also each week, which seems to be "frowned" upon or considered "not smart" by many here. But like you said, if you have the right side it shouldn't matter. I just like the action. My unit size does not = big money, more just for action and fun. Good luck this week.
