really not gonna offer much info on this game because its really pointless. every stat in the world is out there already. every talking head has an opinion. every bettor has an opinion. at this point in the season- theres no "scheduling spots" or "lookahead games" or anything capping tool that can produce winners during the regular season. its almost like the super bowl. capping numbers and stats at this point to me seems useless.

and thats why im betting this game the way i am- and going against my philosophy of never playing a favorite on the moneyline.

2 units.....kansas (-200) over marquette
laying 4 units to win 2 units...had a real solid postseason even with the msu loss, and thats why im just gonna lay the 2/1 odds. on every forum, there will be valid points on why either team will cover, and countless opinions and logic.

mine is simple:

kansas wins the game.

i dont care if they blow marquette out or simply command the whole game, leading by 3-6 points the whole time.

sure it sounds like an archaic way of looking at the game, but sometimes we make it too complicated.

do i feel kansas moneyline is worth laying 2/1 for?
yeah, i do.
id never ever ever do it during the regular season.
but i feel it is well worth the risk.

if roy cant win the national title this year- hes never gonna win it

kansas reminds me of maryland from last year.
terps got to the final four in 2001. got a chance to experience the atmosphere since it was unchartered territory. and then maryland brought back the basically the exact same team the next year and treated it like "business" and got the job done.
thats how i think kansas will approach it. collison and heinrich were there last year. got to experience the hoopla. and now theyre here to win it.

jayhawks win the game and advance

i guess it feels kinda weird taking credit for a moneyline winner, but all in all, some spots come up where a team just is NOT gonna lose. and this was one of those spots. kansas didnt fu/ck around. the investment was worth it.

championship gm should be interesting on monday night

birdman:

thanks for the words man. youre right, probably shouldnt feel dumb takin credit for kansas. jayhawks capped a real good tourney for me, so youre right- should have no shame in KU winning on the moneyline. just read your thoughts on the ku/marquette gm and you were on the money as well. nice work

gl with your future on monday.
really gonna be a good game.

take it easy
