Was wondering if any of you are still having problems with FirePay?

I recently made a rather large withdrawal on the 13th and when I called yesterday, I was told they are backed up and only have the withdrawals processed through the 12th and to call back tomorrow. OK.....so I called back today and now they tell me they are only processed up to the 9th and it'll be at least another week! Sounds like they are feeding me a bunch of BS!

Another question I have: Why do so many of these reliable books continue to accept FirePay with all the problems I hear they are having and with all the problems with credit cards not allowing reversing of charges and so forth why can't these books just cut you a check for a withdrawal rather than having it in their policy to reverse charges or charge back to firepay?? Is it that much more costly to cut a check??

I stopped funding with credit cards a while back, but you almost have to stop doing business with certain reliable sportsbooks that you really like because even if you fund with a check or Western Union or of the sort when you withdrawal....it is worthless because you have to charge back your credit card if you in the past made a deposit via that way in the past.

Firepay is the "preferred method of payment" as some of these places say? Give me a break.

Would love to hear if anyone else is still having payment problems from them or if you received your money.

From what I understand, books that use third party processors such as Firepay do not actually receive your post up funds at that moment. It is held by the processor for I don't know how long, but perhaps it has something to do with the 90 day period which seems to be the standard for a chargeback to take place. Therefore, when you make a withdrawal request your book would be obligated to first credit back to your card up to the amount of the deposit(s), and the processor would no longer need to release the funds to the book at a future date.

gecko...thanks for the reply. Helps me understand the situation a little better.

Was curious if anyone does know the actual time period of days these books have to charge back a card? Or is there really no set standard for most books? For example if you used a credit card, say 2 years ago at a book, could they still charge back the card?? I recall seeing at one offshore that they will only charge back the card up to 6 months.

Any insight is appreciated, but as for now, I will use alternative methods for funding. Just don't feel safe reloading a couple of books I liked using in the past with a credit card or say a company like firepay.

I can say one thing though, I've tried Paypal. I have used that for along time on eBay and do feel comfortable with them.
