Remebered this while watching the 2nd period of Mont/Wash game, and dug it out......

Including this season and last season there have been 17 first career starts.

Record is 11-4-1-1 for the new goalies.

An overwhelming trend to the team with the rookie goalie

and

5.3 is the average score per game

5 goals or less 10 times
6 goals 1 time
7 goals or more 6 times

With Tellquist getting an L, Caron getting a W, Bierk getting a T, and Garon getting a W, it's stands at

13-5-2-1!!!!!!

Could have saved myself 3units had I remembered this:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Good stuff ddubs!

It shows how the guys tighten up their defensive play when a new goalie makes an entry.

Another thing also that might be associated with this is the fact that usually goalies make their first start against weaker teams.

But in Garon's case he recorded his 6th career victory tonight. 3rd shutout of his career! Pretty good average!
