Congrats to the CANADIENS and the AVS for advancing! The stupidity of Joe Thorton cost the B's a chance at a 7th game! Your team is tied 1-1, you are on the road in a noisy building, your team is on the verge of elimination and you take a stupid penalty! How could you put your team in such a predicament knowing that the next goal in the game could decide the series? What a dumbass!
As for my hometown team the KINGS, when is just getting into the playoffs not going to be ACCEPTABLE for this franchise! I am sick and tired of the same old scenario year in and year out with the outcome always being the same! Will this franchise ever step up in the class as the AVS and the WINGS where it is EXPECTED from the franchise and the fans to advance past the first round. If this team does not attempt to sign another free agent scorer such as Amonte, Holik or Guerin, after 20 years of frustration and mediocrity I may disassociate myself with this franchise!

Mon. 4/29 Recap (0-1) - $260
Post Season Record (22-21) + $22

A horrible start to the NHL playoffs! I am hoping I can turn things around in the second round! My first wagers of the second round will be to place huge $$$$ series wagers on both the CANADIENS and the SENATORS in the second round regardless of the series price. I feel that the CANADIENS have far more speed and talent than the HURRICANES and that the HURRICANES may be content to have made it to the second round, while the CANADIENS seem to be on a mission!
I like the SENS because they to have the speed and skill to match up with either the ISLES or the LEAFS and whoever wins the LEAFS/ISLES series will be so drained emotionally and physically either team will not have a chance against the well rested SENS!

4/30 PLAYS:

MAPLE LEAFS -160 *2 Units*
$320 to win $200- I know the Leafs are missing a few quality players, but the LEAFS are at home and have been down this road before!

LEAFS/ISLES Under 5 -115 *10 Units*
$1150 to win $1000
I like this play alot! Both teams will play this game tight neither wanting to make the first mistake!

Good luck $$$$

Kings

Kings

jakejj,

As mouthed by a former president, "I feel your pain" in regard to the Kings.

However, frustrating as it is ... I still feel they win the series if not for the injuries. A healthy and full strength Allison alone may have gotten them the W last night. Add Deadmarsh and they are definately right there. Game 7 was the first time the Avs were fully healthy all season! Lucky for them obviously ... great timing.

Anyway ... hang in there. They'll be back.

Sigh, the last 2 yrs the 2nd period did the Kings in both games. A couple of bounces our way, and a couple of calls our way it would be the Kings advancing. I'm getting a little sick of waiting until next year, especially when this is the best Kings club in recent memory, as the management finally did something right. The injuries to Allison, Deadmarsh, Ronning, and Boucher really hurt.

Still have to give credit to Roy, he is without a doubt the best playoff goalie in history, at least in my lifetime. He looked totally comfortable on the ice, a completely different look from game 6.
