This is a damn friendly board! What a welcome! Guys, I did invite Augur, and I'll tell you why: he's damn good! Augur is a 73-year-old young feller who can handicap most of us under the table! He is very consistent in both football and baskets. He's not just some young pup who thought he'd try his hand at posting his games He handicaps his own games with methods he's developed over the last 40 plus years!
Anyway, I'll let him tell you anything else -- hope he doesn't mind that I said that much. Anyway, he knows a lot about the handicapping and wagering world, and I've learned a lot from him.

Thanks EVERYONE for the nice welcome and kind words from my friend NY Reb ...and to gardenweasel for his comment about the good foot ...my comment on that is we ALL win a few and lose a few ...thats why what we do is called gambling ...but it is HOW we win and lose that counts with our fellow man ...i promise to not brag when i win ...nor whine when i lose ...i never bash ...but can take it ..I TRY to respect all opinions regarding picks ...feel that no one has a loser till the game is played ...and that includes my own plays ... A word about my nic Augur ...An augur is a person that divines ...predicts...forcasts ...future events by observation,portents and signs ....bout what i do in capping ...hence my nic ...most famous augur that i know of was the soothsayer that told Caesar to beware the ides of march ...Sooo warns beware all my picks ..they will not be all winners LOL ...but hopefully enough to cover loses....Augur

Welcome aboard Augur, you will like this forum. There are alot of great guys here, and a few bad apples but we usually ignore them or Jack takes care of them.

Thanks again to the added welcomes ...all these kind comments are going to be hard to live up to LOL ...plus hat band is getting awfully tight ...keep this up.. i will need a bigger stetson ...am deleting two of my early leans Nebr and Syra and adding 2 more bets Wyo+13 and Houston-10 1/2 ...feel there is more value here than in the 2 deleted ...caps Houston to win by 17-18 points so makes it a 2 unit bet ....still looking for so input ...a bash or two might save me money on a new hat lol ...Augur

Augur, since you're in WV, was wondering what you think of the current +12 for Marshall. Do you cap it to be a play at that line?
Hello at you NY Reb ...as to Marshall line ...i jumped on this one early as i felt the line SHOULD drop ...i dont see Mia blowing this team out ..capped the game at Mia winning by 10-11 points ...and dont see weather as much of a factor either ...but will be a wet field ...Marshall+13 1/2 feel a 70% bet ...at +12 would say bout 60% bet ...take a look see at LSU-6 1/2 ..i bet 2 units at -6 on early line am thinking of going for 2 more at -6 1/2 ...i may be way off here on my cap ...BUT got this game on final cap LSU winning by 15-17 points ...check me out looks TOOOOOO good from here ..good luck my friend ...Augur
