5th Bobby--Mercedes Champ in Hawaii--limited field of years previous winners--several not playing including Tiger and Mick.
"You wouldn't know it from Tiger Woods' tournament schedule, but it's only four days until the Mercedes Championships and the start of the 2006 golf season.
Claiming he needed more of an off-season, the No. 1 ranked player in the world has joined fellow superstar Phil Mickelson, along with Retief Goosen and Padraig Harrington, in skipping the season opener at Kapalua Resort on Maui, where the field is composed of last year's tournament winners.
