when i quit unlv i said i would never coach again, and have turned down 2 jobs in less then a year 1 college in fl,asst. and 1 in an independent leauge back east. had my share of the work. don't think it would be very much fun in detroit for the next 2 years. there are only 2 jobs i am waiting for that i might apply and know i have a good chance when they open wvu in the next year or 2 and flager college st.augustine fl. my alumni, when my good friend who is ad and baseball coach calls it quits on the coaching side, they know i want it and in good with all the staff deans and pres. thats the job i want and will have a above avg shot when it opens played and was asst. there.

i wouldnot make a good pro manager,i like to make things happen, not wait for them and thats why college fit me better.

and don't think anyone would be banging my door down to even apply :D a guy named mike easler would be a great fit or lee mazelle,my choice would be tony pena great ml coach and good with young players.

i agree, pena should have gotten the job with the disastros but i don't know how he would have been with Biggio.....Biggio tends to derail managers and a guy who is just a bit older than him might not have been able to control the clubhouse....

Freeze,

Check fantasy baseball league page, post up for you.

Fletcher,

If you take the job what would you do about the gambling? Would you just post information or would you still bet? Just wondering.

Also, even though Coach Wells is a great coach, and we are in no hurry for him to go, if he does retire I will lead the charge to get you to be the head coach here at Alabama. ;) :D

when you coach in college there is no gambling.quickest way to get ran. also there is no time for pc play.

barfly can tell you that, you just want to come home and sleep.no phone calls just veg out for a few hours, then sleep.

i worked baseball camps for coach wells for 3 years. i really hope the wvu job opens flagler would be 4-5 years from now.
