Well done. They played very well and the Tarheels gave them a great shot.....and FSU held strong. FSU should be a very tough out coming up.

Well done Noles.

If history holds true, they will now play like ass and lose in the second round.

Congrats to FSU!!!

I'd watch out for Vandy in the dance......they are deep and have some NBA talent on this team!! Can't wait to see who's in their bracket.

Saint.....

I'm going to try and take the small victories outta this game.

PJ hairston has finally potentially found his stroke (after looking for it all year). Maybe today's performance will give him confidence going forward.

We also didn't fold up the tents. Got down 16 and knew we were shorthanded....and we fought. It's nice to see that, finally.

I still would like to see JMM playing better, as he's still playing so soft. But at least he got some big minutes and did adequately.

No way the committee takes us off the #1 seed line considering what all has happened in the conference tourneys and that we are without henson and help up admirably.

Well, I have a different take. Congratulations to FSU and no doubt they deserved it. The problem for UNC is that FSU clearly wanted it more.

This pattern has been consistent for Roy except for a six game run in Hansbrough's championship year. They take naps for minutes at a time and get outworked. And the defense is a joke.

Besides the Gators, the two teams I follow closely are UNC and Mizzou. I hope they are on opposite sides of the bracket because that will be my title game. Kentucky plays in a weak SEC and Syracuse in a mediocre Big East.

Who wins UNC/Mizzou? Mizzou will, which is kind of a shame since the Heels have three NBA lottery picks on their front line. Perimeter defensive snoozes agains the MU backcourt will be too much to overcome when Carolina decides to play like the Miami Heat for the last two minutes in a furious comeback attempt.

OK, my vent is over.

Experience and guard play. They got the KU monkey off of their backs. Good defense, ball hawks, good free throw shooting. Hoping to get them at about 10-1.

Good luck!

You are correct in your assessment. First off, hats off to a great FSU team. They deserved it and I'm gland they pulled it down for Hamilton.

But, they've had some other pretty good teams and they always seem to fold it up in the tournament. I just know because I've picked them making runs to the sweet 16 in my brackets only to watch them falter the first weekend.

Your comment about UNC taking naps is spot on. Only this team does not have the outside shooting to come back from deep holes. One other point is that no Carolina team under Roy has had good perimeter defense. Even when we know the opponent will come in raining 3s we still back off and refuse to switch off the screen. This team has the potential to win, obviously. If they buy in defensively and play the way they are capable they are the 2nd best team behind Kentucky. But they have not shown the ability to do it over a 6 game stretch so I'm doubtful. And a lot rests on the health of John's wrist, and word on the street is he's a little complainer (see quote by marshall) and he's not the type who will be able to put a small amount of his pain out of his head.
