[h=3]FLYERS NOTES[/h] What better place for the Flyers to improve their power play than on the road? Things are going well there already. They are 23-for-94 on the man advantage away from Wells Fargo Center. The 24.5 percent clip puts them fifth in the league in that category. ? Andrej Meszaros continues to be red hot. He had a pair of goals against the Isles Saturday night and now has nine points in his last six games. ? Jake Voracek is heating up as well. He has five points in his last five games. ? Ray Emery has a 7-0-1 career record against the Islanders with a 1.59 goals-against average and .937 save percentage.
[h=3]ISLANDERS NOTES[/h] The Islanders are finally home after a six-game roadtrip and went 4-2-0 on it. ? D Lubomir Visnovsky practiced with the Isles Sunday for the first time since suffering a concussion Oct. 19, but won?t play today. ? New York captain John Tavares continues his tear with four points in his last four games. He nearly had two goals against the Flyers Saturday, but one was disallowed. ? The Islanders? power play is opposite of the Flyers in that it?s pretty good at home, but not on the road. They?re operating at a 22.4 percent click at Nassau Coliseum. ? The Islanders have a division-worst 3-11-3 record against fellow Metropolitan Division opponents.
[h=3]INJURIES[/h] Flyers: D Marc-Andre Bourdon is on injured reserve, but is expected to soon be loaned to the AHL Adirondack Phantoms after missing a year and a half with post-concussion symptoms ? D Chris Pronger is also on injured reserve and will miss the entire season with post-concussion syndrome ? LW Zac Rinaldo will miss six weeks with a left high-ankle sprain.
Islanders: G Evgeni Nabokov is on injured reserve with a quadriceps strain ? D Lubomir Visnovsky is on injured reserve with a concussion ? D Travis Hamonic is also out with a concussion.
