right into the Slaughterhouse with Houston. I've always played contrarian on Thursday nights (yes I know it's not Thursday) and done pretty well. If it looks too easy.... then maybe it is just like last Thursday. If Houston covers and this trend of easy lines and big public favorites covering continues, I'm going to have to come up with some sort of conspiracy theory based on Vegas paying Roxy to put out bad lines to eliminate competition or something. This is crazy, if it continues locals all over are going to start folding like lawn chairs.

Couldn't have said it better myself. All I do is call a bunch of local outs to see what to "go against" and they have been getting killed.

To name a few this past wk:

LSU
SCAR
KC
GB - This was insane! check out the following:

Out #1- 62 GB 2 CH

Out #2 35 GB 0 CH

Out #3 17 GB 1 CH

And the line doesn't move??????? WTF

amen.

Something is up. this year has been very pro-player. All the lines that looked too easy have seemed to come in.

Tonight, houston looks like the easy play considering ECUs record. I believe they have been outscored along the lines of 30 to 150. I suppose we will see how things play out tonight.

wow-exactly my thoughts,i have been in this game for 27 years and we all know when it looks easy,we all lose,i learned many years ago not to get sucked in,and usually hold my own. NOT THIS YR.i know lots of locals ready to call it quits cause of all the fav. betters are cashing in big time .we know it should turn, but when?MANY MANY GAMES THAT LOOK TOO EASY ARE COVERING. USUALLY UNHEARD OF.i cannot change my thinking.its got to turn real soon?????????
IF THE BETTER PERCEIVED TEAM KEEPS WINNING AND COVERING IT WILL BE AN UGLY YR.

Bookie Slayer number 2 for the week on deck tomorrow with Oregon. I'm not as convinced that oregon is going to cover as I was with Houston, but either way, the books are going to be lopsided as all hell. Add that to the fact when you match the ABC/ESPN line-up with wag-line or B-guy consensus reports for Saturday this could be black Saturday for the books. And if there are any still standing; if Minnesota and Oakland cover in the NFL it'll Be Bloody Sunday.

Need some help coming up with my conspiracy theories in case this does happen. Any ideas? Russian Mafia has Roxy's daughter and is holding her ransom and is making him put out bad lines on public games where the millions of dollars in bets can be disguised easier?

Programmer working for LVSC has programmed a bug into their supercomputer to spit out bad lines?

Or......maybe it's just their worst statistical nightmare and no matter how many times they bet on Red the wheel just keeps coming up black.
