Well, let me start off by saying that I will be playing this week very conservatively. Matchup wise, one rule of thumb here is not to be caught betting with a bunch of juice. Nothin is a sure thing here, because you can count on about 1/5 of this race to be run under caution, well maybe close to 1/6, but nonetheless, a lot of wrecks and caution laps. Which also means a lot of pitting, which also means that you dont want to get caught up with someone way in the back unless they have a superior car.
There have been some cars that have caught my eye this week that some would consider shocking if they were to win, but I wouldnt be surprised. ..Cars with very high value this week are...
Dave Blaney (and I am not happy that his odds fell from 75 to 25-1 in the past 5 mins.)
He has run well all week, he has run in the top 10 when no one was on the track, and also ran Top 10 when other cars were running. He will be a solid contender.
Bobby Hamilton at 30-1 (Looks like this team is hitting on the right cylinder right now) He ran very good during Happy Hour, not to mention has a very decent starting position. Hamilton seems to always seems to sneak in there for a great run or a win, and today may be his day.
Johnny benson at 20-1---This is strictly a pick of my partner. I get info every week from another source, and has brought me winners from the very start. Personally, I dont see it. Benson hasnt really overly impressed me at all this week, but apparently something has triggered a good race for him according to my partner. I am going to take him up on it. He claims he is a Top 5 car. If that is the case, then definatly worth the 20-1 value.
Matchups...I will not be eating any juice today, too many wrecks possible.
Gordon +120 over Wallace (Wallace is the current king here, but give me a team with an awesome car anyday as a dog)
Benson +145 over Harvick (The kid is gonna be worn out this week. As this is one of the most trying tracks in the sport, and my partner say BENSON)
Mayfield +115 over Rudd (Mayfield has a great partner to work with in Rusty, and has run great except for a crappy qualifying run. His car is definatly better than Rudd's)
GOOD LUCK
