As If you all dont already have enought to think about this CFB Day!!

Lovin it that Football is back!!

Last Time Md was ranked coming into the Season @ 15 or better, they lost the pening game to PSU in 1985. Of course PSU(Nat'l Champs) at that time was a Superior football team than NIU...

Stats first 3 games of 2002 for MD.
ydsPP 4.1
TO/game 3
RYPG 94
PYPG 158.7
PPG 18

Next 11
ydsPP 6.4
TO/game 1.3
RYPG 227.4
PYPG 199.5
PPG 39.7

Now how do you stop Turner, Stack 8-10 guys in the Box?? Advantages of a GREAT Running game is that it clearly opens your Passing attack. Henderson was HUGE part of the Terps Success Last few years. Tough Assignment for the Terps D to stop Turner.

MD cannot afford to Lose this game with FSU on the Plate for next week. This is a MUST Win for MD the More I read into this game. The Terps cannot afford to go into the 3rd week 0-2...This would Crush all expectations of this Fine football team.

NIU has a schedule that is pretty tough. next 2 games Iowa St. and Alabama. Originally the team wanted Michigan or any Big Ten team to open up their season. They "wanted" to play against Very Tough Opposition. These Guys are ready to show their Worth IMO.

Should be a GREAT game tonight.

Good stuff, variable1, although I'll say this much: The stats per game you listed for the first four games of last year and the rest of the season, are misleading if you're applying them to this year.

Last year MD had a new QB trying to learn a very complex system, and a whole bunch of other new players. This year McBrien has mastered the offense and he has a ton of returning players around him.

I wouldn't expect a similarly slow start.

True Jeff I agree that mcBrien was learning the O,

But the most important stats I think is the TO/Game and
RYPG. HUGE difference there.
