league above, never been in it, their 3rd year running it (looks like) though they allow you to pay for as many teams as you want (no limit) though the leagues(s) are limited to 12 teams.... and each league has $1600 cash prize (at this point--as amounts increase, prizes increase). you can choose you draft time--and imagine can select into the SAME draft (which would be key)... as you (or with friends) pony up $4200 (12 teams x $350) that would essentially buy all teams in A LEAGUE, with a then guaranteed $1600 back in (each league) prizes. The idea is to buy all teams and just load ONE UP. That way you'd have a fantastic chance at cashing in 1st or 2nd spots which pay $72,500 for first, $9,000 for second and $4,000 for third... so then, why not?
would you take a potential loss of $2600 for a chance at making $72k? Even if you couple up with a couple more guys...say 4 at $1050 cost each...with payouts then divvied 4 ways.... a potential loss of $650 for chance at $4250.
perhaps i'm wrong in thinking that you can get all your entries into same league--though from signup page doesnt appear to be an issue, so long as you dont go for the discounted price of 3 teams for $1000, can simply select same league for each 12 teams you pay for.
anyone in this league that knows differenty??
i'm not trying to promote the above league, simply bringing to light the chance one could take at trying to make some money off this fantasy football stuff is all.
