My opinion: The answer is NO. It is not worth your time, nor are you likely to learn much you don't know already.
I have a good relationship with Palace Station (they handle my betting account) so anything they do gets a green light from me. But these seminars are usually for novices and talk about the basics.
Sadly, there is not much of a network to assist sports bettors in Las Vegas. The only exception to this rule is the weekly show that is run out of the Stardust (which is a radio program, if memory serves) as well as the morning handicapping show on local radio (1400 AM -- best material comes out about 8:30 am local time -- unfortunately, the Intenet broadcast is blocked at this time).
The only gambling seminar that was ever worth a damn is the "World Poker Industry Conference" that is held every year at the Orleans, run by Linda Johnson. The rest of them are pretty much worthless. The annual conference run by Casino Journal/Casino Player is so bad -- I walked out last time I attended. They had a sports handicapping seminar that was horrendously bad).
I think there is a huge void in this area in terms of providing public information. But, it's hardly surprising that the casinos are not exactly eager to host and promote seminars that creates better handicappers. If you think the MGM, New York, New York, Ballys and other slot warehouses are going to give you even the time of day inside the sportsbook, you might freeze in hell first. They couldn't give a rat's ass about sports handicappers. It's a fraction of the daily drop. In this regard, it's nice to see at least one of the sportsbooks giving something back to the public -- a free seminar. But, I'll take the Stardust anyday.
