In your posts you say the selections are Program #'s not post position. Sorry for the stupid ? but where do I get the Program #s or do the books post by program.

The program numbers are the same numbers as you would give the tellers when placing a bet. A horse can come or run out of the 12 hole in the gate but his program number maybe #7. At the track you can bye programs for the racing that day.
Generally, the sportbooks will post by program numbers but it is always a good idea to check. They are numerous sites that you can get the program numbers. Try the links in this forum.
