This oughta be a dandy tonight.......Dal @ Indy.........
-Don't tell me that the Mavs aren't think'n about number 15 in a row......and......don't tell me the Pacers aren't think'n "not in our house"!
-There's a lot at stake tonight in Conseco Fieldhouse and believe we're in for a great way to top off Turkey Day with a very entertaining game.
-Both teams are in 1st place in their respective division.
-Both teams have been surprisingly solid on defense this year.
-Looking at the stats.....both teams are only allowing an average of 88' ppg so far this season!!!
-However......NEITHER of these two have face a team like they are going to face tonight.
-When Dallas has faced a scoring, uptempo type team (like early Griz, GS and Sea) the opposition scored over 100 in each game.
-When the Pacers have faced a scoring, uptempo type (like early NJ, Mil and ?Minn?) the opposition scored over 100 in those games. (Orlando was low scoring but they were minus Hill)
-Just go scroll down the list of teams Dal and Indy have played so far this season to average that 88' ppg allowed.........not one in the class of either Dal or Indy.
-The last time these two teams met in Conseco (back in Feb) it was a double OT game....tallying 281 pts....with the Mavs winning by 1 pt! I bet every guy who played in that game has yet to forget what happened in that one!
-If you want a concern I have about the OVER in this game.....it would be Reggie's "Rust" in his 2nd game back (scoring only 13 pts in 30 some minutes against the Wiz on Tuesday night).
-BUT.....the Mavs are on a mission tonight.......last night they hung 102 on that defensively minded Piston team in Detroit.
-Yea....Yea....this is a b-to-b for the Mavs......but going 15 straight and into the history books will make "tired legs" seem unimportant late in the game.
-The Mavs will leave it ALL ON THE FLOOR tonight.......so if Indy (with rest and at home) can hit near their seasonal average of 96'.......I believe the OVER is the play.
-The Mavs are averaging 103' and Indy 96' ppg.......which to me is more likely than either team holding the other to 88'.

Bottomline to me is that 196 is not unreachable considering what is at stake tonight and the fact....."neither of these teams has faced anything like the team they will face tonight."
Looking forward to a GREAT game.....with lots of intensity, lots of tempo and lots of scoring.....at least I hope! GL
Tonight............Mavs/Pacers O 196
YTD...18-4
LN.......1-0
NJ/Pho...U 177...W
That's 9 straight W's in a row..........therefore........I "over due" so be careful!!
