ESPN's has an excellent play by play announcer in Ron Franklin. Did he get his start in the business as Cawood Ledford's color man on WHAS during the 70's? I seem to remember him starting out during the Pratt years.?? Thanks in advance.

That was Ralph Hacker, not Ron Franklin, if I remember correctly.

Yes, Ralph Hacker was the color man for Ledford, then he did play-by-play for a few years before retiring. I just couldn't remember what year he started.
