Qualifying match-ups

Montoya over Ralf Schumacher.
Montoya is the better qualifier and Ralf is already thinking about his new team next year!!

Trulli over Alonso
Alonso qualified faster in Australia (rd1) by .02 but has been out qualified by Trulli in the following 2 rounds in Sepang & Bahrain. Free practice for this round has seen Trulli faster in both sessions so far.

Hi PAWAQATSI

Great record this season so far. Hope you keep it going.

F1 has long been one of my favourites as abetting medium. The sportsbooks have very little idea how to price up markets that they offer because just offering prices on the outright race winner has long been a poor return for them and the quanity of bets are a very small percentage.

I posted plays for Race 1 in the community pages and returned a nice profit and all my race recommendations have been posted and documented at another site. Although my record is less impressive than yours, like you I am still nicely infront.

That said, I did wager on Button today to win pole at 9/1 for 1.5 points after Saturdays morning practice when he was only 0.025 behind Schumacher (M). Stupid price for a two man race as these two were 6/10ths quicker than anyone else.

I took 20/1 on Button receiving 68 points start in the handicap market at the start of the F1 season. Promising at present but a long way to go yet.

My plays for San Marino are as follows;

Button to beat R.Schumacher @ 11/10 x 3 points

Button to win without Ferrari @ 11/4 x 2 points

M.Schumacher / Button to finish 1st and 2nd in either order @ 16/1 x 1 point

Over 14 cars to finish Grand Prix @ 13/10 x 3 points

Good luck with your plays.

Hey Derek, good to hear from you.

It looks like you've had another good day at the office!! :D

I had a 'lucky' 3-0 on the race itself (Slow Webber v Sato blown engine was a lucky gift but I'll take it!!). Didn't post it due to some dial-up problems with my pc. Time for cable me thinks as it is costing me valuable time.

I've actually had a non posted 4-1 in earlier qualifying and props that currently has me sitting at an amazing 17-5 all up for the F1 season.

I used to be pretty lazy with this sport and just follow 1837 and a couple of other guys that used to post here but now that nobody seems too interested in F1 I've had to go and do the homework myself and it is certainly paying off!! Like you say , this is a great sport for earning dollars as the books don't seem to have much of a clue on it. With so many rounds to go, this is certainly going to help keep the ol' accounts nice and full.

You'd be pretty happy with Jenson lifting his game and showing his talent this season. Though it looks like Michael will roll on for another Championship win. I took him to win the first couple when his price was around the $2 mark and now that he is dropping each race to around $1.65 I'm thinking that it is still worthwhile to take him as you will make plenty by seasons end even when he misses (if at all!!).

Interested to hear your thoughts mate.

Anyways......have a good one and pop back in here for the next round.

Pawaqatsi, I will e-mail you sometime over the next week or so.

Like I said, these sports books are looking at new markets all the time. Stan James this week offered a market "without the Scarlet reds" and yes I made them pay. 11/4 Button was a ridiculous price. Perhaps one could argue that it is a flash in the pan but two consecutive podium finishes showed that BAR and Button had made great strides during the close season. He and the car have been on the pace all season accept the opening race in Melbourne when a poor qualifying run put pay to any high finish.

I will also post my thoughts to you over the few days before the Grand Prix. This race at san Marino has been the best return I have had all season and ranks number two in all returns for any one race for last season and these early races this term. Over 40 points profit is two months target profit for me.

I hope to meet up with you in several years time when us Pommies re-visit OZ for the Ashes. Boxing day where you live.

Catch up with you soon, and well done on another successful race.
