remember Mulder for your bets next time...
from OAKLAND:
Mark Mulder pitched a four-hitter for his third shutout in July, and Miguel Tejada had a three-run double Friday night as the Oakland Athletics beat the Kansas City Royals 5-0.
Mulder (12-6), who leads the majors with four shutouts, turned in yet another dominant start, striking out seven and allowing just two runners to reach third base. It was the fourth straight victory for the 6-foot-6 left-hander, who retired Kansas City's first nine hitters and lowered his ERA to 3.38.
Mulder got a standing ovation from the small Coliseum crowd when he closed the eighth inning with an artful behind-the-back stop of Neifi Perez's grounder. He's the first A's pitcher to record four shutouts in a season since Dave Stewart in 1990.
how's that for kudos...?
