Foxboro insider

sorry guys I got this up a little late, couldn't get to computer earlier. Total stood at 41.5 this morning, probably already getting bet down.

Although Boston weather is notorious for being difficult to get a handle on, the best of Boston forecasters Harvey Leonard has tomorrow being a absolutely terrible day. We have had a unusually warm winter, tomorrow is a different story the high should be around 24, 15mph wind & snow. Snow is definitely starting around 5 p.m. with as little as 2in & as many as 7.

For those that don't know Foxboro is one of the more difficult stadiums in NFL to kick, very much like Giants Stadium in cold weather. I see New England with a distinctive difference here. Vinitari has kick here for several seasons & has been one of the consistent kicker in League. Snow will not bother him as he has kicked here and went to school at North Dakota.

I didn't realize this until this morning paper, but team owners were asked by NFL which television slot they preferred this weekend, although obviously without guarantee. Kraft was the only owner that chose Saturday night, that's why the game is here Saturday night. Kraft cited with all day to get ready the rowdy crowd would be additional advantage to home team. I myself can't imagine to what degree that matters, but keep in mind the NFL outlawed Monday night & night games period in Foxboro for 20 + years. Also keep in mind last 3 playoff games in Foxboro total score is New England 65 opposition 12. And also keep in mind teams hosting playoff after having bye week and also absent from playoffs previous 2 seasons are winning at a 86% Clip.

Antoine Smith has been on a run last several games. The time off has seemed to really give him a need rest. Smith is no stranger to playing in snow having played for Buffalo for 4 seasons.

The offense most resembling Oakland that New England has played this season was Indianapolis. Now I'm not saying Indianapolis is Oakland or vice versea, but Coach Bill & several New England defensive players when asked about Oakland offense this week, compared them to Indianapolis In style & personnel. Defensively New England was extremely prepared for Indianapolis and destroyed them both games. Again I'm not saying Indianapolis is Oakland, just saying New England will be prepared & experienced with the crossing & slant routes Gannon & Brown/Rice like.
Lawyer Milloy & ty Law both pointed out this week that the Jets secondary was extremely soft & allowed Rice/Brown to have huge Games. Both have gone out of their way this week to State repeatedly although they respect future Hall of fame players Rice & Brown they will be hit hard and repeatedly Saturday.

Will try to update weather tomorrow, best of luck

bring on the snow!

bring on the snow!

Thanks for the weather report Shamrock!

Makes me glad I took the under when it hit 42.

I also expect the well rested Pats to throughly dominate this game with Antowain Smith snow-plowing his way through the beaten down Silver and Black.

Final score: Pats 24 Raiders 10
