Marist pk over Manhattan **** line moved today to -2..I jumped on it last nite
Both teams tied for 2nd place.One is not susposed to be there.But Man. have really played well and if Roherssen doesn't get coach of the year in the MAAC there should be an investigation.Unreal job with this team. His frosh get 120 -130 minuts playing time.But MC is 4-6 at home and 6-4 on the road.They have no 3 pt shooters. In fact they have hit 68 3 pt shots in 20 games. Smith and Jordan have 71 combined. But..I forgot about Whittington who leads the MAAC in 3's with 78.Dubois and Austin are MC's top players. But 7'0 Smith will matchup with Dubois tonite.MC plays tough defense,will play zone and man,press,etc. But Foxes have the best player in the MAAC in Jordan who leads the nation in assits and avg 18 pts a game.Marist has the No 3,5 and 21 scorers in the conf where MC has the 11th,15th and 29th.There stats are about even everywhere. Offense,FG%,rebounding,assits,3pt %,3 pt,etc foxes have the advantage. Steals,FT%,off bds,and turnovers MC has the advantage.
Marist hasn't won in Draddy in a long time.MC has dominated but in those years MC was the better team. No so this year. Foxes are the better team with more talent but MC is playing better.Foxes are the preseason fav to win it all.Foxes need to make a statement tonite. Jordan is the straw that should be able to penetrate MC's defense.Foxes defense has really gone south. I watched Canisius just rip them apert.And then Niagara a few nites later.But both those teams have 4 or 5 scorers. MV doesn't have that luxory. pearson the frosh has really stepped up but MC doesn't have the offense.
Foxes win this on the rd by 4-8 pts..Whitington,Jordan and Smith will lite a few from van cortland park which is next to MC.MC is 11-4 ats this yr compared to 10-9 Marist.
