--Teheran (sounds like a city in the Middle East) is on fire and has very good numbers
vs in 5 (he's 3-0) including shutting Mia down in only '14 meeting, at home back on
Apr.21; Koehler was shit in his last at home to mil after being very good in 3 of 4
and very good in his prior 4 home starts (3-0, team 4-0)...he was very good @Atl Apr.21
but the club lost it late in that Teheran meeting; braves have the lowest team OPS
vs R in mlb (.631, Mia .748) but are 22-21 vs R overall (7-11 road); 7-day OPS also
favors Mia at .773 (scored 6 per game) to atl's .680 (short of 4 per), but atl seems
to have come on stronger vs R lately, at least prior to this home-away series vs Bost,
while Teheran has looked mostly phenomenal and braves possess the better BP
--o'sticks hot at 7-day OPS of .862 scoring 6.1 per game while Hou at .746 scoring 5.3 per
game, both with high slg's over that time incl.23 HR between the two--13@10--for their
7 games each; Gonzalez a little hot but unimpressive on road; Oberholtzer was good
in his last @Seat after a crappy run & has been shit at home in 3 (where he's 0-3);
med.wind out to left if roof open but 30% chance of T-Storms means probably not, which
isn't a huge deal in this ballpark
--angels looking to overtake A's in the West and catch them at a good time as A'sticks
struggling at 7-day OPS of .629--pre-Porcello--while scoring 4 per game; angels a little
cool, as well, coming in at .700 and 4 per game; Richards has good numbers vs and shut
the A's down in their park back on Apr.9...he's been great in 6 road starts and has a
3-0 road mark with the team 5-1; Pomeranz had been very good, especially at home, in
very short outtings...this is his first start vs
other thoughts:
--mets@Phil ov8+107; medium wind projected blowing out to right; Montero looked
sketchy 1st2 and has given up the deep flies but was very good in his last vs d'backs
and I have no idea what to expect; Burnett is cold and has been wild all season
--like Stl (who doesn't with Wainwright) but Cards perpetually struggling vs L and
Bumgarner is hot and with solid road numbers; under or pass (wind in from right-center
and 40% chance of T-Storms) but 6.5-110 calls me to pass
--like Ariz and bats and BP have come on while same for reds is tanking; Arroyo's been
decent and faces long-time former club...D'Backs just 1-3 in his 4 H starts; Leake has
been good, including on road, but reds just 2-4 in his 6 road starts and an even worse
1-6 in his last 7 starts overall...he also has bad numbers vs in 5 but is 2-0 vs; slight
edge D'Backs and would have to try closer to +100 (currently -115)
--Beckett & Lad worth a shot at -135 off Beck's no-no (threw 128 pitches) against slumping
pirates and med.wind out to right might invoke a runline call; Liriano is cold but Lad
somehow only 1-5 home to L (5-1 road)
--min@Nyy ov9+108 tempting; med.wind out to left projected though 30% chance of showers,
as well; Yanks a putrid 7-day OPS of .574 with only 3 HR in those 7 but avg.5 per game
over that time nonetheless; twins worse at 7-day .536 avg.only 2 runs per game
--Verlander quite cold though -106 is tempting
--totally prefer Strasburg to Lewis but rangersticks very hot while Natsticks remain
perpetually cold making price (-167) a turn off
--Nicasio bringing some goods and tempting though roxsticks very cold and can't seem to hit on the
road while Kluber is very hot and this is his first meeting vs; un8-114 tempting--med.
wind in from right-center--but both clubs O unpredictable and either seem to score 2-3
or else 6-8...might wait for ump and if Eddings then hoppy on und
--if I have no free will yet am still responsible then perhaps a tree falling in the
forest doesn't make a sound even if someone is there to hear it
