Wow!...with my nose buried in the NFL forum I totally forgot there was anyone interested in hoops!! :scared
Hit the over in Utah yesterday, but that's beside the point now...
0-0
Atlanta v. Dallas over 191.5
League: 14-4 over (Av. total 185.9...av. score 195.3) away 5+ fav, off an ats win as away 4- fav, if they help previous opp to <80. [Dal]
5-0 over (Av. total 200.6...av. score218.4!!) if total is 190+
We all know Dallas can score, but history suggests that a repeat defensive effort is unlikely.
The total in their last game was a bit misleading anyway, due to the blow-out, and only 29 points were scored in the last quarter.
This Atlanta team is way more athletic than the plodding Cavs (minus James of course), so I can see an uptempo game on the cards.
Portland +8 (2.05)
League: 24-8 (Av. loss 3.7) away 5+ dog, total 190+ on 2+ days rest, off a 10- ats win as a 10+ dog. [Port]
14-3 (Av. loss 3.2) if opp is off an ats win.
8-1 (Av. loss 1.1) if they last shot 45%+
Simple case of one team being over-rated off a big win, but against a crappy opponent, and one being under-rated...mainly because of a lack of big names...but they kept a far better team in SA close and shot over 50% in the process.
Not suggesting that the 'Blazers will win this one, but 8 is a lot of points to be giving a young team who are going to fight it out to the end.
Milwaukee +3
League: 21-5 (Av. WIN 3.7!) away 4- dog, off a 10+ ats loss as a 5+ dog, if they scored <90, shot <40%, but this total is 190+ [Mil]
Yep, the Bucks had a shocker in Orlando...the only other person besides Redd to reach double figures was SImmons off the bench!
I suspect they'll be able to find some scoring touch against this Charlotte team.
Already talking up their new uptempo style, but I think it will hurt them at the other end, and a run and gun game is going play right into the Bucks' hands.
Neither team great at defense...so the over would have to be a reasonble consideration...but it's always tough to take favs who leak points...esp. when history suggests the Bucks will bounce back tonight.
Good Luck all
