2.) SD/COLORADO over 7.5.....lawrence vs. oliver...

when i first saw this game...i thought immediately i would play SD..in a pitching mismatch...but then i looked into the game ...and was surprised to see Lawrence struggles against colorado...now of course we think ..well thats because colorado plays at coors and a lot of good pitchers struggle there...but check this out...

Lawrence at coors field...3-2 ..2.61 era/ 1.64 whip/278 BAA

so he isnt giving up a lot of runs at coors in his 5 games there...

but his lifetime numbers vs colorado are..
6.34 era/ 1.78/273 BAA
in 2002 vs colorado..4.29/1.57/.267

in his 2 starts at home vs the rockies..
2001...14-5 loss...3.7 innings 7 runs
2002 ...8-5 win ...6.3 innings 5 runs

the numbers show colorado should hit him tonight at qualcomm

COLORADO on the road is 3 over o under...they are hitting a stellar .312 on the road....thier opponents on the road are avg..7.7 runs and are batting .349...

Oliver lifetime at qualcomm...5.40/1.54/220 BAA...

Padres are just 1-3 over/under vs lefties this year at are batting .261 against lefties and avg. 4.6 runs...

but take a look at those lefties they were up against
MOSS two times
RUETER
ISHII
PEREZ

i know oliver had a good outing last game...but you will not convince me he has as good of stuff as any of those pitchers

if the padres can get a few early and maybe get oliver out by the 4th or 5th...look at the rockies bullpen on the road....

6.23 era/1.92 whip
19 hits in 13 innings pitched and only 5 strikeouts

think this game has a good chance to hit at least 8

thanks guys ...right back at you...

3.) KC...$65 to make $50.....KC is the last undefeated team in the majors.....playing against a team that simply cannot hit on a regular basis...

TRIBE at home is hitting..a paltry .229 ...and avg 3.3 runs per game

vs righties they are hitting .196 and avg. 3.4 runs per game

westbrook has good numbers vs KC in limited action...which is why im a little worried here...

career...9 innings pitched vs KC...2.00/0.89/.200 BAA
in 2002....4.50/0.75/.200

but look at this kids career numbers at home and in 2002
career....7.57/1.73/306 BAA..wow
2002 home games....7.66/1.66/.296 BAA again wow

KC has been hitting 309 against righties this year...avg 7.7 runs and an OBP of 471

in road games ..batting 271/6.5 runs and .400 obp...

good numbers so far for this squad

what i dont like about KC here are two things...
1.) westbrooks numbers ..albeit in limited action vs KC
2.) and hernandez' BAA vs cleveland

hernandez is 2-0 vs the tribe ...3.00 era/0.952 whip
but in 2002...vs tribe these were his numbers..
3.48 era/1.40/and 284 BAA
at jacobs..3.86/1.14/286 BAA

its the BAA that has me troubled here...sooner or later that will usually come back to get a pitcher...just hoping tonight isnt the night...and KC is able to jump on this kid...

if for some reason ...this becomes a pitchers duel....KC's bullpen has been tremendous on the road this year

1.12 era/1.25 whip..no blown saves
TRIBE at home...4.50/1.25 whip

advantage KC
